In compliance with the Federal Government guidelines on public procurement and award of contracts, the Universal Basic Education Commission invites sealed pre-qualification documents from registered competent companies for 2014 Constituency Projects.

Bidding shall be conducted through National Competitive Bidding in accordance with bidding process as specified in the 2007 Public Procurement ACT

SCOPE OF WORK.

Activity A- Various Construction & Civil Works.

Activity B- Various Supply of Books, Furniture & Equipment.

Details for Activities A & B above would be provided as Lots in the bidding documents to be received by pre-qualified prospective bidders.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION.

Pre-qualification documents expected to be provided in the submission includes the under listed items which are considered as key requirements:

1. Photocopies of Certificate of Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission.
2. Photocopies of Tax Clearance Certificates for 2011, 2012 and 2013.
3. Company profile with details of key staff and equipment to be deployed for the proposed work (Construction Works). Evidence of Ownership or lease of Equipment should be included.
4. Evidence of Financial capability from a reputable bank.
5. Evidence of previous similar assignments with relevant evidence of successful completion for years 2011, 2012 & 2013(Every relevant similar assignment should be included- This is very important).
6. Evidence of Compliance with ITF, NSITF and PENCOM provisions.
7. Evidence of qualified personnel with proof of registration with relevant professional bodies (Construction Works).

SUBMISSION OF PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS.

All prospective bidders must comply with the following conditions:

Neatly bound copies of pre-qualification documents (Two copies) marked as Original or Copy in sealed envelopes labelled “PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR CONSTITUENCY PROJECTS”.

1. Late submission of pre-qualification documents will not be accepted for whatever reasons.
2. All submissions of pre-qualification documents should be addressed to the Executive Secretary and handed in on signing of an appropriate receipt register, at the Security Post between the hours of 10 am and 3pm, Mondays- Fridays

CLOSING AND OPENING OF PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS.

All submission of pre-qualification documents will be closed by 11.00 am on Tuesday 5* August, 2014. Opening of pre-qualification documents will be conducted at 11.00 am same day in the UBEC Conference Hall.

Note: All relevant Agencies and NGOs are by this notice also invited to attend.
