General Procurement Notice for 2014 Capital and Recurrent Contracts for the Procurement of Goods and Services
The National Human Rights Commission intends to apply part of the proceeds of its 2014 Capital and Recurrent Budget towards payments for Goods, Works, Non- consultant and Consultant services.
The procurement schedule for the next four months will include:
Furnishing of Headquarters Offices |
Furnishing of State Offices |
Upgrade of ICT/computerization at Headquarters |
Minor works and construction of Portakabin for use as Canteen/Drivers Foyer at
Headquarters Building complex |
Upgrade and renovation of Port-Harcourt Zonal Office |
Rehabilitation of collapsed North-west Zonal Office, Kano |
Production and Dissemination of Information and Communication materials, including production of Jingles, mini-dramas and placement of advertorials in the print and electronic media. |
Production of Human Rights Resource materials/Documentation |
Production of Newsletter |
Production of Annual Reports |
Production of Human Rights Journal and State of Human Rights in Nigeria Report |
Audit of Prisons and other Detention Centres across the Country and production/publication of Audit Report |
Publication of Statutory Reports and Printing of NHRC Act, Standing Orders, Rules of Procedure and Case Law Reports/Decisions of the Commission |
Monitoring of Public implementation of Budgets towards the enhancement of the Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of Citizens at all levels of government in Nigeria |
Sensitization of General Public on the Rights of PLWHA through Train the Trainers workshop in the 36 States and FCT |
Sensitization and creation of awareness on human rights, rules and internationally accepted best practices |
The projects will be executed under the 2007 Public Procurement ACT.
The specific procurement notices for any of the above contracts to be tendered under the bidding methods and procedures, in accordance with the Public Procurement Act 2007, will be announced as they become available in the national newspapers, tenders journal and other places as required by law as appropriate.
