Expression of Interest (EOI) for the year 2015 Capital Projects
Preamble:
The Kano Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in its effort to provide further meaningful development projects to its teeming populace, intends to carry out works under the contracts for which this request to express interest for prequalification is issued to invite interested and reputable Constructors for the exercise under the listed projects, and the supplies of:

The Kano State Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, herein referred to the “Employer” intend to pre-qualify contractors for the following works:
- Building Construction.
- Roads, Conventional and Non-Conventional Bridges.
- Mechanical & Electrical Works,
- Transport infrastructural Facilities.
- Fire Control Vehicles.
- Towing Trucks.
Prequalification is open to firms and voluntary formed joined ventures. Applications may be made for prequalification for one or more of the above contracts.
Prequalification Requirements:
- Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- Company Audited Accounts for the last three (3)
- Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3)
- List of source of Equipment to be used for the work,
- Indication of Technical and Administrative Staff strength with academic/professional qualifications and years of experience of the key personnel available for the project.
- Proportion of experience to local staff is of added advantage.
- Bank Reference from reputable Bank indicating financial capabilities to handle the project.
- Evidence of relevant verifiable experience on similar work in Nigeria over the last three (3) years, stating cost, location, completion certificate where available.
- VAT Registration Certificate and evidence of VAT remittance.
- Evidence of Registration with Kano State Government Works Registration Council.
- Evidence of compliance with the provision of the pension reform
- Evidence of Compliance With Section 6(1) 6(1) (3) of ITF Amended Act No. 19 of 2011 for the last One (1)
- Company office address and Phone number/email and website where
- Evidence of COREN Practicing License.
Submission:
Submission of Applications for Pre-qualification must be received in sealed envelope which will either be delivered by hand or Registered mail, not later than March 2nd 2015. The prequalification document shall be forwarded to the address below containing “Prequalification Documents for the CLASS _Project” on the top right hand corner of the Envelope.

Interested firms are to also note that only pre-qualified companies will be invited to tender for the works. The Kano State Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport reserve the right to accept or reject late applications. Successful applicants will be notified on the result of their application in due course. Only constructors pre-qualified under this procedure will be invited to bid,
