Call for Pre-Qualification Documents from Interested and Competent Contractors/Suppliers
(1) Background Information
Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, intends to carry out construction works and procurement of equipment for years 2011, 2013 and 2014 Merged TETFund Entrepreneurship Development Centre Intervention.
In this regard, the University hereby calls for pre-qualification documents from interested and competent Contractors/Suppliers for the execution of the below lotted projects/needed equipment.
(2) Scope of the Works/Procurement
(A) Construction Works
Lot 1: Entrepreneurial Development Centre
The bungalow building, situated at the Permanent Site of the University, comprises workshops, lecture halls and office spaces. The structure is a framed reinforced concrete building on a firm soil with traditional strip and isolated pad foundation. The super structure is of non-load bearing sandcrete hollow block work with long span aluminum covering on roof trusses. Appropriate electrical and mechanical fixtures as well as drainage are fitted on the building to enhance the purposes of the structure.
Lot 2: Grass Cutter Production Demonstration Farm
This is a rectangular shaped load bearing block work bungalow building with a floor area coverage of 28.0m2 situated at the Permanent site of the university. The structure is of traditional strip foundation and long span covering on the timber roof trusses. There are adequate door and window opening on the external wall to serve the purposes of the building.
Lot 3: Poultry Demonstration Farm
This is the same as the building on Lot 2 above. However, its floor area coverage is 32m2.
Lot 4: Fingerlings Production Demonstration Farm
This is a rectangular shaped reinforced concrete water retaining tank of 11.0m3 cubic capacity, located the Permanent site of the University.
(B) Procurement of Equipment
Lot 1: Tools and Equipment for Woodwork
These include assorted tools/equipment for woodwork practical/training in the woodwork workshop.
Lot 2: Tools and Equipment for Electrical/Electronics
These include assorted tools/equipment for electrical/electronic training in the Workshop.
Lot 3: Tools and Equipment for Bottle Water Production
These also include assorted tools and equipment for practical training skill in bottle water production
Lot 4: Furniture
Office furniture for utilisation in the Entrepreneurship Development Centre.
(3) Eligibility Criteria
All competent and interested contractors/suppliers are to submit the following pre-qualification documents, arranged orderly and serially in the format outlined below.
(Please note that dis-orderly arrangement of submitted documents may lead to outright rejection of submission).
(a) Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
(b) Evidence of VAT registration and remittance in the last three (3) years.
(c) Evidence of experience of similar jobs executed in the last five (5) years with attached certified practical Completion Certificate issued by the Client of the Project.
(d) Evidence of compliance with the Pension Reform Act 2004 (as amended).
(e) Evidence of compliance with the Industrial Training Fund Act 2011 (as amended).
(f) Evidence of financial capacity from a reputable bank.
(g) Tax Clearance Certificate of the company for the last three (3) years.
(h) Company Audited Accounts for the past three (3) years.
(i) Detailed Company profile including Curriculum Vitae and Professional Certificate and current practicing licence of professional staff to be used for the project.
(j) Possession of adequate equipment (which is verifiable) for the Work and its location to access its verification.
(4) Prerequisite for Processing of the Submitted Pre-Qualification Documents
Payment of a non-refundable fee of Twenty Five Thousand Naira (N25,000.00) only made payable to: Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, by Bank Draft.
(5) Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
The well packaged pre-qualification document must be in a sealed envelope labeled “Pre-qualification for TETFund Entrepreneurship Development Centre Intervention for Years 2011, 2013 and 2014 (Merged)” at the top left hand corner and addressed/hand delivered to:

(6) Closing Date of Submission
Closing date for the submission of completed pre-qualification documents shall be on or before 20th April 2015 within working hours.
