1.0 Introduction
The Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero invites reputable and competent Contractors/Suppliers to submit their pre-qualification documents for assessment to bid for the year 2012 TETFund Special High Impact Intervention Projects (Batch 2).
2.0 Scope of the Projects
The projects for which pre-qualification of contractors/suppliers invited, are as follows:
LOT 1: Proposed Alteration of Workshop Building
LOT 2: Procurement, installation, Commissioning and Training of Staff for Civil Engineering Workshop Equipment
LOT 3: Procurement, Installation, Commissioning and Training of Staff for Civil Engineering Laboratory Equipment
LOT 4: Procurement, Installation, Commissioning and Training of Staff for Electrical Electronics Workshop Equipment
LOT 5: Procurement, Installation, Commissioning and Training of Staff for Electrical Electronics Laboratory Equipment
LOT 6: Procurement, Installation, Commissioning and Training of Staff for Machine Tools Workshop Equipment
LOT 7: Procurement, Installation, Commissioning and Training of Staff for Welding Laboratory and Wood Workshop Equipment
LOT 8: Procurement, Installation, Commissioning and Training of Staff for Computer Laboratory Equipment
LOT 9: Procurement, Installation, Commissioning and Training of Staff for Communication Laboratory

LOT 17: Procurement, Installation, Commissioning of 500KVA 33KV/415 Transformer at Faculty of Engineering
LOT 18: Procurement of Mercedes Sewage Disposal Truck 12,000 Liters LOT19: Procurement of Mercedes Water Tanker 12,000Liters
Year 2013 Tetfund Special Intervention:
LOT 20: Supply and Installation of Furniture and Equipment for 3 No. Conference Rooms
LOT 21: Supply and Installation of Furniture and Equipment for 20No. Academic Staff Offices
3.0 Pre-Qualification Requirements
To qualify for the bidding, the following documents are required:
- Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission
- Audited accounts of the company for the last three (3) years
- Tax clearance certificates for the last three years
- Evidence of VAT Registration and remittance
- Evidence of experience of company in at least three jobs of similar nature and complexity executed within the last three years with verifiable letters of contract awards, evidence of payment and certificate of job completion from recognized public or private agencies.
- List and specification of major equipment possessed by the company
- List of managerial, technical and administrative staff of the company, including Curriculum Vitae, Academic and Professional certificates, working experience and attestation of their availability
- Evidence of financial capability and letter of introduction from reputable Bank
- Evidence of registration with Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero
- Evidence of remittance of staff pension contributions to the appropriate pension custodian/administrator
- Evidence of remittance of training contribution incompliance with ITF Act 2011
4 0 Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
Pre-qualification documents should be enclosed in a sealed envelope and marked “Pre-Qualification Documents for,”………………………. on the top left hand corner and addressed to:

5 0 Closing Date for Submission
The deadline for submission of application for pre-qualification is 24th April, 2014.
6.0 Opening of Pre-Qualification Documents
a. The pre-qualification documents received are to be opened on the closing date at 2:30pm in the Council Chamber of the University.
b. All prospective contractors/suppliers and general public are invited to the opening ceremony
c. Only pre-qualified contractors/suppliers shall be invited to tender
d. The University reserves the right to reject any or all the documents and to terminate entire selection processes at any time without any explanation and any liability to the University.
e. The University shall not go into any correspondence with any unpre qualified contractor/supplier
