Public Display Exercise on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the Proposed 1000MW Solar Generation Power Project in Damaturu Local Government Area, Yobe State by GOPA International Energy Consultant.

In accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act Cap E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major development activities to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces a twenty-one (21) working days Public Notice for information and comments on the Draft EIA Report submitted by GOPA International Energy Consultant.

The Display Centers Are:

• Damaturu Local Government Headquarters, Damaturu, Yobe State.
• Tarmua Local Government Area Headquarters, Babangida, Yobe State.

Project Description:

The project activities will involve the construction of a 1000MW Solar Power Plant, installation of 330Kva transmission lines to an existing substation at Damaturu through Potiskum townships and other associated civil works on a total land area of 50Km2 in Damaturu and Tarmu Local Government Areas, Yobe State.

Duration of Display:

Date: 24^th April – 22^nd May, 2015.

Time: 8:00am – 4:00pm Daily.

All Comments Received Should Be Forwarded To The Hon. Minister, Federal Ministry Of Environment On Or Before 29^th MAY, 2015.
