Invitation to Submit Memorandum on 10-Year Basic Education Development Project, State of Osun
1. This is to inform the general public that the Government of the State of Osun has set machinery in motion for the preparation of a Ten-Year Basic Education Sector Development Strategy Document. This is being done in partnership with the World Bank and other development partners.
2. The proposed project will cover the following areas of the Basic Education Sector:
(i.) Early Childhood Education Development (for both Public and Private Sector);
(ii.) Elementary School Development which includes the required Manpower, Academic and Infrastructural requirements;
(iii.) Middle School Development including Manpower; ICT Technical, Academic and Infrastructural requirements;
(iv.) Capacity building for Teaching and Non-teaching staff at both Elementary and Middle Schools including suggested incentives with emphasis on rural areas to ensure access and equity on educational opportunities;
(v.) The roles expected of SBMC/PTA and other Education support and Donor/Groups;
(vi.) Supply of instructional materials;
(v.) Strengthening of monitoring and supervisory capabilities of relevant Agencies.
3. The general public (particularly Education Stakeholders and Institutions) are kindly requested to submit Memorandum on;
(i.) EACH of the subject matters above (as relevant) taking account of changes over next ten (10) years and highlighting areas of strength that can be replicated and areas of gaps that can be developed.
The Memorandum should be submitted in hard/soft copies on or before April 13th 2015:
