Invitation for Technical and Financial Bids
- Introduction
The Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil wishes to invite interested and credible Companies to apply for the Technical and financial bids of the various projects of the University for the TETFund and Need Assessment of Nigerian Public Universities Special Presidential Intervention.
- Scope
The scope of the work include:
Lot 1: Construction of University Clinic.
Lot 2: Construction of 2nos Prototype 400 Capacity Students’ Hostel.
Lot 3: Construction of Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences (FAEES) Faculty Block.
Lot 4: Construction of Urban and Regional Planning Department (URP).
Lot 5: Procurement of Furniture for FAEES and URP Department.
Lot 6: Construction of Geography Department.
Lot 7: Construction of Female Students’ Hostel.
Lot 8: Construction of Retaining wall.
Lot 9: Construction of Postgraduate School.
Lot 10: Construction of Academic Staff offices.
- Bidding Criteria
The following requirements for Tender shall be submitted:
a) Certificate of Company Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission.
b) VAT Registration Certificate.
c) Company Audited Account for the last three (3) years (2011, 2012, and 2013).
d) Evidence of Current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years (2011, 2012, and 2013).
e) PENCOM Compliance Certificate.
f) Industrial Training Fund Compliance Certificate.
g) Certificate of Registration with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.
h) Evidence of Financial Capability with Bank reference letter indicating accessibility to credit facilities with maximum amount stated.
i) Bank statements of account for the last three months.
j) Evidence of performance on similar verifiable and successfully executed projects in the last three years (2011, 2012, and 2013).
k) List of key personnel of the Company and their CV’s and verifiable evidence of registration with Professional bodies.
I) A Sworn affidavit that none of the Directors has been convicted by any Court of Law for a criminal offence including fraud or financial impropriety.
- Submission
Bid document containing specifications on the interested lots can be obtained from the office of the Director, Physical Planning and Development Department of the University; upon payment of non-refundable fee of Thirty Thousand Naira (N30,000.00) at the Bursary Department.
The two (2) submissions should be enclosed in a third envelop indicating Clearly lot of interest and marked Technical and Financial Bid respectively at the top left corner of the envelop. This should be dropped in the relevant box at the office of the Registrar on or before 27th August, 2014 to 17th September, 2014 and addressed to:

Note:
- Bids shall be closed at 10:00am and be opened immediately thereafter on 17th September, 2014 at the University Council Chamber.
- The University may verify any or claims made by applicants and shall disqualify any company whose claims are found to be false in addition to other sanctions that may be deemed necessary.
- Bidders who have worked for the University and have history of poor performance, abandoned, termination and/or prolonged contract execution period need not apply.
- This advertisement shall not entitle prequalified companies to make any claims whatsoever, and/or seek any indemnity from the University by virtue of such companies having been prequalified.
- The University reserves the right to reject any and/or all prequalified Bidders at its sole discretion and at no costs whatsoever.
- All costs incurred in response to this advert and prequalifying for the projects shall be borne solely by the Bidders.
- This advertisement shall not be construed as a commitment on the part of the University to award contract to any bidder.
