Introduction
The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) in furtherance of its statutory mandate intends to implement some capital projects under works and goods in accordance with Public Procurement Act2007. The Organisation, therefore, invites interested and competent companies to submit their prequalification documents and or collect documents for projects as follows.

- Prequalification Requirements
- Evidence of compliance with PENCOM Reform Act of 2004.
- Evidence of compliance with ITF Act of 2011 as amended.
- Evidence of VAT registration with TIN No.
- Current tax clearance certificate for 2013,2012 and 2011.
- Evidence of registration with CAC
- Company registration certificate with professional bodies.
- Company capacity profile including verifiable list of projects carried out in the last 5 years, with dates of award, total contract sum and present percentage status of work.
- Company Profile including but not limited to list of permanent and temporary personnel, verifiable leased or owned equipment available for the works, Certificate of Incorporation, Memo and Articles of Association, Forms CAC-2 and CAC-7, CAC -10 and Consortium agreement for Joint Ventures, where applicable.
- Verifiable evidence of experience in at least 2 reference jobs of similar complexity.
- Curriculum vitae of key personnel for the project and professional certificates.
- Quality Management system/Assurance Certificates and/ or Quality Manuals/policy/objectives for the firm.
- Audited account for 3 years (2013,2012,2011) certified by a qualified accountant.
- Verifiable Bank reference in support of financial capability to perform /execute the project.
- Affidavit to show that all documents submitted are true and directors are not convicted for fraud, firm not bankrupt, and that no former staff or present staff of SON/BPP is a director in the firm.
- State the Head office Address of company, name and phone number of contact person.
3. Collection of Bid Documents
Bid documents containing full specification of works/goods, scope, terms and conditions of contract for lots 1 to 4 can be obtained from the office of Head of Procurement of the Standards Organisation of Nigerian at No. 52, Lome crescent, Zone 7, Wuse Abuja, upon payment of nonrefundable Tender sum of N10,000.00 Naira only.
4. Submission of Documents/ Opening of Documents
The closing date and time for receipt of documents in our office at Abuja Headquarters for both prequalification documents and submission of Bids are respectively by 12 noon on Tuesday 30th September, 2014 for bids and 12 noon on Tuesday 7th October, 2014 for the prequalification documents. Thereafter, the prequalification documents and bids for the Tender documents shall be opened immediately at the address below on the same respective dates of closing. Interested, bidders, representative of bidders and members of public are invited to witness the respective openings.
Interested contractors and suppliers must submit one original and 3 copies of the prequalification document in the case of Lots 1-5 and also one original and 3 copies of the tender/bid documents for Lots 6-9. In all the cases, the documents must be duly signed and enclosed in a sealed envelope indicating the lot number at the top right hand corner of the envelop and addressed to

- General Information
- Post qualification in line with the PPA 2007 shall be conducted.
- Bidders are to participate in one lot only for this programme
- The name and address of the Company should be written at the reverse side of the envelope, with contact telephone numbers and e- mail address.
- Please note that electronic copies sent through emails will be rejected.
- Any tender not properly recorded and sent to Tender Box shall be rejected.
- The Standards Organisation of Nigeria reserves the right to reject all the applications without any reason as submission of the documents shall not be construed to be a commitment on the part of the Organisation or that the Organisation is under any obligation to select any contractor.
- This advert shall not give any entitlement to any firm submitting quotation to claim any indemnity from the Organisation.

- The full details of the terms and conditions for bidding will be supplied to prequalified contractors, upon payment of prescribed fee
