Invitation to Tender
The National Library of Nigeria invites interested, experienced and reputable Companies for tendering for the supply of items/Equipments and Construction works as approved in the 2014 Budget.
- Construction Work
Construction of Community Library in Issele-Azagba, Anlocba-North, Delta State
- Library Equipment/Furniture
Lot 1: – Reading Carrels & Shelves
Lot 2: – Cataloguging
Lot 3: – Security Equipment
- Office Equipment
Lot 1- Computer Desk and Lap-top Computer
Lot 2- Scanners and Accessories
Lot 3 – Photocopies, Printers, Power surge Protector
Lot 4 – Refrigerator, Air-conditioners, Water Dispensers, Projects
- Procurement of Books & Periodical
Lot 1 – Foreign Monographs
Lot 2 – Foreign Reference Materials
Lot 3 – Nigerian Reference Materials
Interested Companies are required to collect relevant tender document from Procurement/Due Process Unit after evidence of:
- Company Profile
- Company Profile including evidence of Experience/Technical Qualification of Key staff.
- Equipment/Technical Capability.
- Evidence of Financial Capability/Bank Support
- Three (3) years Audited Account/Report, (2011, 2012, and 2013)
- Consecutive Three (3) years valid Tax Certificate. (2011, 2012 and 2013)
- A copy of VAT (2013)
- Evidence of valid similar Executed Projects.
- Manufacturer/Franchise and Manufacturer’s representative, where applicable
- Payment of non-fundable processing Fee at the National Library of Nigeria Cash office (Supply/Equipment N20,000.00, Books N30,000.00 and Construction N50,000.00)
- Pension Certificate
- Industrial Training Fund
- Sworn Affidavit
- Annual Turnover
Companies are to note that National Library of Nigeria shall accept company Registration, Tax Clearance and Tax Clearance on their face value. If these documents are found to be fake on verification, such companies shall be handed over to relevant law enforcement Agencies.

The Submission of Tender Document should be in sealed envelope marked “(Tender for the………Please indicate project Description)” at the Top left hand corner of the envelope Tender document for different projects must be in separate envelope and should be forwarded to:

Closing Date for Submission of Tender Documents
Closing Date for all submission shall be on or before 8th September 2014 at 12:00noon prompt. Late submission all not be entertained.
- Opening of Bid Documents:
Technical Bid Documents shall be opened in public immediately following the deadline stipulated for the submission of bid at the Boardroom of National Library of Nigeria plot 274, Sanusi Dantata House, Central Business District, Abuja at 12.30pm while the financial bids of qualified companies shall be opened same day after the evaluation of technical bids.
