Invitation for Pre-Qualification to Tender
The Imo State University, Owerri is to execute all her outstanding Approved Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Intervention Funds of 2011, 2012, 2013 and the Federal Government Needs Intervention Allocation for the following projects;
A. MERGER OF 2011, 2012, 2013 NORMAL INTERVENTION PROJECTS
- Faculty of Business Administration and Entrepreneurial Centre
- Faculty of Science Complex
- Faculty of Education Annex
B. 2013 NEEDS INTERVENTION ALLOCATION
- University Main Library
ii. University Medical Centre.
In view of the above, the University invites applications for Pre Qualification to Tender from competent firms/contractors in Civil Engineering works, and general construction.
The Contractor is expected to meet the following criteria to qualify for the Tender;-
Pre-Qualification Requirements
i. Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission
ii. Registration with Imo State University, Owerri in the relevant category
iii. Company Audited Accounts for 3 years
iv. Evidence of Tax Clearance for 3 years
v. Evidence of financial capability and Bank support
vi. Experience/Technical Qualification and experience of key personnel
- Evidence of similar projects executed and evidence of knowledge of the industry
- Equipment and Technological capacity
ix. Annual Turn Over
x. Registration and evidence of past VAT remittances,
xi. Bank Statements for the past 6 months
The completed Pre-Qualification document must be bound, sealed in an envelope, and clearly marked PRE-QUALIFICATION TO TENDER and returned to the Ag. Registrar or Physical Planning Office of Imo State University, Owerri not later than 12 noon of August 11, 2014
All applications shall be opened same date in the presence of all the applicants or their representatives in the Senate Chamber of the University.
Only the Pre-Qualified applicants shall be invited to participate in the competitive tendering and shall be required to pay a Non-refundable Tender Fee of N100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira only) per bid to collect the Tender Documents.
Envelopes containing tenders shall be sealed and clearly marked indicating name of project on the right hand corner
The Imo State University shall not take any responsibility for any reason on account of any contractor or person tendering.
