Request for Expression of Interest (EoI) for the Provision of Commission’s Insurance policies
In preparation for the renewal of all its insurance policies for the year 2014, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission hereby invites Proposals from interested reputable Insurance Companies and Brokers that wish to participate in underwriting and management of the Commissions Insurance policies.
The Polices Are:
- Group Life
- Group Personal Accident
- Mortgage Protection
- Motor Vehicles
- Combined All Risk Insurance Policy
Pre Qualification Requirements
To be eligible, interested companies are required to provide the following:
- Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
2. Evidence of current operating license from National Insurance Commission (NAICOM)
3. Evidence of previous year accounts as approved by NAICOM
4. Company’s Tax Clearance Certificate for the last 3 years (2011 -2013).
5. Evidence of certified three (3) years published Audited Accounts (2011, 2012, 2013)
6. VAT Registration certificate
7. Evidence of Compliance and remittances of Pensions
8 Evidence of compliance with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) contributions
9. Evidence of meeting Solvency Requirements as prescribed by Insurance Act 2003.
10. Management Profile
11. Evidence of current membership with Nigerian Insurers Association (Underwriters only)
12. Evidence of Current membership of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) (For Brokers)
13. Evidence of Similar appointment by reputable organizations with verifiable letters of contract award and certificates of job completion (where applicable)
14. Evidence of Professional Indemnity Cover (for Brokers)
15. Evidence of having met the consolidation requirement (Underwriters only)
16. Evidence of valid Re-issuance treaty cover (Underwriters only)
Interested firms may obtain further information from the Procurement Unit of the Commission as from 9:00 am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday at the address stated below:

Submission of EOI
Expression of interest (EOI) must be submitted in three (3) hard copies with one (1) original and two (2) copies on or before 12.00 noon on July 16, 2014 with the inscription on the Top left side of the envelopes:” Expression of interest for Provision of Commission’s insurance Policy…(state the policy title)”. EOI must be dropped into the tenders’ box located in the Commission’s Secretariat at room 203 2nd Floor.
Note: A Firm is entitled to apply and shortlist for any one of the above Policies only.
