General Procurement Notice for 2014 Capital and Recurrent Projects
Introduction:
The Nigerian Railway Corporation intends to undertake the procurement of various projects under the 2014 Capital and Recurrent Budget.
In compliance with the Public Procurement Act 2007, the Corporation wishes to put on alert all interested reputable contractors /suppliers /consultants with relevant experience for consideration for execution of projects, under the following categories.

1 | Transport Rehabilitation and Modernisation programme including track work and bridge works. |
2 | Workshops and Training school rehabilitation including procurement of workshop equipment. |
3 | Renovation, Upgrade of Stations and Buildings (nationwide). |
4 | Procurement, Rehabilitation of Locomotives, Coaches, Wagons and Cranes, Narrow gauge and Standard gauge. |
5 | Procurement of Train operations consumables and spare parts. |
6 | Procurement of ICT hardware and software; and Stationery. |
7 | Facilities Management and Insurance Services. |
8 | Human Capacity Development. |
9 | Transaction Advisory Services on Public Private Partnership Initiatives (PPP). |
10 | Research, Health, Safety & Environmental Requirements. |
11 | Project Management Consultancy Services. |
The Procurement will be subject to due process and open to all eligible bidders.
Subsequently within the year, specific procurement notice; for these procurements will be placed on the notice board o the Nigerian Railway Corporation, National Dailies and the Federal Tenders Journal, depending on their thresholds.

Please note that all documents received relating to responsive criteria may be referred to the relevant agencies for verification.
The Corporation reserves the right to invoke the provision of section 28 of the Public Procurement Act (PPA) 2007.
