Invitation to Tender for Year 2012 and 2013 Tetfund Intervention Project
Applications are hereby invited front reputable and interested Contractors/Suppliers with relevant experience and good tract records of performance to tender for the underlisted projects.
- Construction of block of Academics Offices
POLY/IKOT OSURUA/TETF/12-13/01
- Construction of block of four lecture halls
POLY/IKOT OSURUA/TETF/12-13/02
- Procurement of Mechanical Engineering Equipment
POLY/IKOT OSURUA/TETF/12-13/03
Pre-Qualification Requirements
Interested contractors and suppliers are required to submit a letter of intent to be accompanied with the following documents.
(a) Evidence of incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission
(b) Evidence of Tax Clearance for the past three (3) years
(c) Evidence of Financial Capacity/Bank support to handle the chosen projects
(d) Evidence of satisfactory completion of similar projects e.g. Letters of Awards, etc
(e) Evidence of registration as a contractor with Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua.
Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents:
Spiral bound pre-qualification documents in sealed envelope marked “PRE-QUALIFICATION AS CONTRACTOR/SUPPLIER FOR YEAR 2012 AND 2013 TETFUND INTERVENTION PROJECT” (indicate lot number) at the top left hand comer should be delivered not later than 12.00 noon on 3rd April. 2014 and addressed to:

Opening Of Pre-Qualification Documents
Pre-qualification envelopes will be opened at 1 p.m. on 3rd APRIL, 2014 interested contractors/suppliers are hereby invited for the opening Contractors will be required to produce the original copy of all documents tendered for verification.
Please note that all bidders will be required to pay a non refundable pre-qualification fee of twenty thousand naira (N20.000.00) only at fee Bursary Department of the institution.
Notification of Pre-Qualification Bidders:
Names of pre-qualified contractors/suppliers will be displayed on Notice Board of the Polytechnic on 10th APRIL, 2014 and they will be invited to tender accordingly. Contractors are required to include their e-mail addresses, telephone numbers and contact address.
Collection of Tender Documents:
Pre-qualified contractor/supplier will collect the tender documents from the Department of Council Affairs at the presentation of evidence of payment of the appropriate processing fee of N50, 000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira) only.
Submission of Tender Documents:
Spiral bound Tender documents in sealed envelope with inscription –“TETFUND INTERVENTION 2012 and 2013 PROJECT (State tot number)” should be submitted not later man 12.00 noon on 11 APRIL, 2014 to the Registrar, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua.
Opening Of Tenders:
Tenders will be opened on 11th APRIL, 2014 at 1p.m. interested Tenderers are hereby invited.
Please note:
A. That by the submission of pre-qualification documents, the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua is neither committed nor obliged to award any contract to any contractor/supplier or agent.
B. That tins advertisement shall not be construed as a committed on the part of the institution, nor shall entitle any contractor/supplier to make any claim whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua.
C. That due process will be followed and that the Polytechnic reserves the right to verify the authenticity of all claims in the tender documents submitted. Any discrepancy would disqualify the contractor/supplier.
D. That the Polytechnic is not bound to award the contract to the lowest bidder.
