Notice is hereby given to the general public that Abia State College of Education (Technical). Arochukwu is desirous for the construction and procurement of the projects below:

Pre-Qualification Requirements: The Following Must Be Submitted For Pre-Qualification
1 Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
2 Evidence of certificate, exemption from PENCOM in accordance with the pension contributions/deductions
3 Evidence of compliance with industrial training fund Act 2011 (amended)
4 Evidence of Tax pay merit for the past three years (2011, 2012, 2013)
5 Evidence of immediate past three years Audited account
6 Evidence of tax identification number
7 Evidence of tax registration and past tax remittances
8 Evidence of financial capability to handle the job; copies of current company banks statements, reference letters and consent to allow for verification with banks
9 Company profile with names and qualifications of key administrative and technical personnel to be used
10 Evidence(s) that technical start “are up to date with their professional body(ies) e.g. COREN, NSE, NATE, ARCON and CORBON
11 Verification evidence of having successful completed similar jobs in the last three years
12 Available relevant equipment for the job and evidence(s)
13 Affidavit of fact
14 A sworn affidavit that none of the Directors has been convicted in any court of any criminal offence.
15 All documents MUST be sequentially arranged as per this advertisement, serially paged, sealed stamped and signed.
Submission for Pre-Qualification: Two copies of pre-qualified documents must be submitted in sealed envelopes marked “Confidential – The Registrar, Abia State College of Education (Technical) Arochukwu”.
Closing Date: Closing date for all submissions is on Monday 7th April 2014 at 8.00am prompt, late submission will not be entertained.
Opening of Pre-Qualification Packages: Opening of the received pre-qualification documents will commence at 10.00am on Monday 7th April, 2014 at College liaison office at No. 2 Lagos Street Umuahia. Relevant professional bodies and NGO’s are invited to witness the public opening exercise accordingly.
Collection of Tender Documents for Procurement/Construction Project
Pre-qualified companies will be required to collect tender documents from the office or HOD Works Department upon the presentation of original receipt for the payment of fifty Thousand Naira (N50.000.00) tender fee for each of the project or procurement.
Submission of Tender Documents: completed tender documents are to be dropped in the tender box in the office of the registrar on or before Tuesday April, 22nd 2014 at 10.00am.
Closing Date: Closing date for all tender documents is on Tuesday April 22nd 2014 at 10.00am.
Opening of Tender: The tenders are to be opened by 10.00am on Tuesday April 22nd 2014.
Please Note That:
16. Abia State College of Education (Technical) Arochukwu (ASCETA) reserves the right to reject any or all the submissions that do not meet up with the requirements as specified.
17. The Evaluation of the received documents shall he strictly based on the requirements as specified above.

19. Original of submitted document MUST be produced for sighting during opening sessions.
20. The advertisement for the submission of the technical bid shall neither be constructed to be a commitment on the part of the college nor shall any company to make any claims whatsoever and/or seek, any response to the said advertisement.
21. All enclosed photocopies of academic credentials and professional certificates; MUST be stamped, sealed with (individual professional stamp and seal) and certified by the owners (e.g. I certify true copy, of the original, name, designation, signature and date) in front of each copy else automatic disqualification.
22. Full Tendering procedure will be only to contractors that have been successfully pre-qualified through this public notice.
23 Due diligence would be followed as all the documents submitted would be verified and the past executed works and contractor’s office shall be visited. Any discrepancies found would disqualify the contractor.
