Request for Expression of Interest (ROI) in Respect of Outsourcing of Security Services of University Building and Premises
1.0 Introduction
1.1 The Sokoto State University is outsourcing its security services to a competent and reputable service provider whose responsibility is to provide 24-hour comprehensive security to the University and ensure the protection of life and property of the entire University community.
1.2 The University therefore, wishes to invite expression of interest experienced, reliable and dependable security service providers for pre-qualification/expression of interest to provide service with scope of work as stated below:
i. University structures, property and buildings.
ii. All University installations.
iii. All persons (including visitors) that reside in the University.
iv. University security interests within and outside the campus
2.0 Eligibility Criteria
Prospective service providers are to provide the following minimum pre-qualification requirements:
a) Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) including Certificate of Incorporation and Articles of Associations.
b) Tax Clearance Certificates of the following years: 2010, 2011 and 2012.
c) VAT Registration and Remittance.
d) Detailed Company Profile.
e) Verifiable evidence of experience in handling similar services executed within the last three years satisfactorily.
f) Evidence of financial and technical capability/reference latter from a reputable bank.
g) Possession of Registration Certificate to operate a Security Services Company from State, Local or Federal health Institution.
h) Audited Report for the last three years (2010, 2011 and 2012).
i) Registration with relevant profession bodies.
3.0 Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
The pre-qualification documents shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and labeled “Pre-qualification of Interest” marked with “Security Services” at the top right corner and addressed to

3.1 Closing date of submission of EOI is 5th December 2013.
3.2 Only firms whose pre-qualification and expression of interest document fulfill the requirements would be considered for assessment.
3.3 The University is not bound to shortlist any service provider that does not fulfill the requirement nor incur any liabilities and, or assign any reason thereof.
