Addendum to the Invitation for Bids for Travel Agency to Manage Travel Related Operations
This is to inform the general public that our earlier advertisements in Thisday and the Guardian newspapers of Wednesday August 21, 2013 and Monday August 19, 2013 respectively has been cancelled due to observations made during the bid opening exercise on 18th September, 2013 at the Commission’s Head office.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), hereby invites eligible agencies to apply for pre-qualification for engagement as Travel Agents to undertake the management of the Commission’s travels (foreign) and other related services. The travel agency engagement would be on annual contract and shall be renewable at the end of each year.
Pre-Qualification Requirements
Interested bidders are required to submit the following:
a) Certificate of Incorporation as a company in Nigeria issued by Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) including affidavit of particulars of directors.
b) Company’s Audited Account for the last three years (2010, 2011 and 2012), duly stamped by Licensed Auditors.
c) Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years (2010, 2011 and 2012).
d) Evidence of financial capability to execute the job (Bank guarantees, capacity for bulk ticket orders to a minimum of N20 million, and for a payment period not less than 30days.
e) Evidence of registration with International Air Transport Association (IATA).
f) A sworn affidavit that none of the Directors of the Company has been convicted in any court of taw for any criminal offence.
g) Documentary evidence describing similar assignments with verifiable proof, including years of experience.
h) Company’s profile/visible location, certified personnel and applicable IT support.
i) Evidence of compliance with the provisions of the Pension Reforms Act 2004 including remittances of Employees’ Pension Contributions/Deductions
j) Compliance with the requirements of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF)
k) Payment of N20,000 non refundable application fee, with a bank draft (payable to Securities and Exchange Commission)
I) Any other relevant information.
Submission of Tenders and Closing Date
Two copies of the documents in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “Pre-qualification Documents” for Travel Agency boldly written at the right hand side of the envelope should be addressed to:

The sealed envelope should be deposited in the Tenders Box in the office of the Secretary, on the ground Floor not later than 11:00am on 26th November, 2013. Late submission will not be accepted.
Opening:
Opening of the received bid documents will commence immediately following the closure of the submission of bids at 1l:00a.m on the 26th November, 2013 at the Commission’s Multi-Media Hall. All bidders and/or their representatives, relevant Professional Bodies and NGO’s are invited to witness the opening exercise accordingly.
Please Note:
- The SEC reserves the right to reject any or all the submissions that do not meet the requirements as specified.
- The evaluation of the received documents shall be strictly based on the requirements as specified above.
- Please note that qualified bidder(s) shall be notified accordingly at the end of the exercise.
