Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contracts to Tender for Year 2012 and 2013 Universal Basic Education Intervention UBEC/SUBEB Projects
Introduction
The Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board has received approval to implement the year 2012 and 2013 UBEC/SUBEB UBE Intervention projects.
In compliance with the public procurement Act 2007, the Board wishes to invite interested, competent, reputable and qualified contractors for pre-qualification to tender for the year 2012 and 2013 UBE Intervention projects as categorized below:-
with evidence of professional registration with COREN, ARCON, QSRBN, CORBON etc

SUBMISSION/OPENING OF PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS:
Pre-qualification Documents in wax-sealed mark ”PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR 2012 AND 201
Categorization of Projects
Category ‘A’ – Construction of New Classrooms, Laboratories, Toilets, Examination Hall and Rehabilitation of existing facilities.
Category ‘B’ – Fabrication of ECCDE Games Village and Installation.
Category ‘C’ – Supply of Pupils and Teachers Plastic Table and Chairs for ECCDE Classrooms.
Category ‘D’ – Supply of two Seater Pupils Desk/ Bench and Teachers Table/Chair.
Category ‘E’ – Supply and Installation of Laboratory Fittings and Fixtures.
Category ‘F’ – Fabrication of Main and Pedestrian Gates for Schools
Pre-Qualification Requirement:
1. Evidence of incorporation or Business Name Registration
2. Registration with Kaduna State Tenders Board
3. Company Audited Account for last three years
4. Evidence of Tax clearance for last three years
5. Evidence of Financial capability and Banking support
6. Experience/ Technical Qualification of Key Personnel with evidence of professional registration with COREN, ARCON, QSRBN, CORBON etc
7. Similar Projects executed and evidence of knowledge of the industry
8. Equipment and Technology capacity
9. VAT Registration and evidence of past VAT Remittances
Submission/Opening of Pre-Qualification Documents:
Pre-qualification Documents in wax-sealed envelope mark “Pre-Qualification for 2012 and 2013 UBE Intervention Project Under Category…….” written on the right corner of the sealed envelope must be delivered by hand to reach the Executive Chairman – on or before 30th September,2013 at 12.00noon.
The Pre-qualification documents received will be opened for analysis on 30th September, 2013 by 12:00 noon at the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KDSUBEB) Boardroom.
Interested companies and General Public are by this notice invited to attend the opening exercise.
Important Information:
1. All documents submitted will be subjected to verification from relevant agencies and any discrepancies found would disqualify the contractor
2. Late submission of pre-qualification documents will be rejected.
3. This is not an invitation to tender.
4. Only successful companies will be contacted for tender process.
5. Nothing in the advert shall be construed to be a commitment on part of the Board.
