Pre-Qualification of Contractors for the Construction of the Corporation’s Head Office Annex at Abuja
Invitation for Pre-Qualification
The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) intends to develop its Head Office Annex at Abuja and hereby invites interested building construction firm to submit the Pre-Qualification documents.
Conditions for Eligibility
Interested Construction firms are required to submit pre-qualification documents detailing their Company’s capabilities.
The Pre-qualification documents should include:-
a) Evidence of Company Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria.
b) The current 3 years Tax Clearance Certificate of the Company (2010-2012).
c) The Company’s audited accounts for the last three years (2010-2012).
d) VAT registration and evidence of remittances in the last three years (2010 -2012) to be attached.
e) Valid certificate of compliance with Pension Act, issued by the National Pension Commission (PENCOM).
f) Evidence of compliance with the provision of the Industrial Training Fund Amendment Act as stipulated in section 6( 1) – (3) for year 2013.
g) Evidence of Financial capability to execute the project including letter of support from a reputable Bank.
h) List of similar, verifiable and successfully executed projects or ongoing by the Company with letters of Award or completion Certificates, in the last five years 2008 2012.
i) Companies should have an annual turnover of not less than N 3.0 billion.
j) List of Managerial, key Technical and Administrative Staff of the Company which should include names, curriculum vitae and copies of certificates for each staff
k) List of Equipment owned or on lease hold by the Company relevant for smooth execution of the project.
Evidence of ownership is an added value.
l) Evidence of community social responsibility (if any).
m) Statement of health and safety policy.
n) Statement of quality control policy.
o) A sworn affidavit that all documents submitted are genuine.
p) A sworn affidavit that the Company is not bankrupt.
q) A sworn affidavit that none of the Directors was ever convicted of fraudulent activities.
Original documents should be available for sighting on demand during or after the opening of pre-qualification documents.
Due Diligence
Please note that the Corporation reserves the right to verify all indicated references and Operation Capacities as submitted by interested contractors.
Submission of Pre-Qualification
Five bound copies of the Pre-qualification documents should be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked Pre-Qualification for Construction of Head Office Annex at Abuja and addressed to:

Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC),
Plot 447/448 Constitution Avenue,
Central Business District,
Abuja, Nigeria.
The pre-qualification documents must be submitted not later than 12:00 noon of Wednesday 23rd October, 2013. The submissions are to be dropped in the tender box on the ground floor, reception in the Head Office. Companies dropping Pre-qualification documents are expected to sign the Pre-qualification documents register on the 2nd floor, Admin Dept, before dropping the tenders. Submission of Pre-qualification documents by post or courier will not be acceptable, and any Pre-qualification documents received at the designated location after the specified time and date shall be considered late and non-responsive.
Opening of Documents
Opening of pre-qualification documents will hold in the presence of applicants or their representatives at the waiting room of the Head Office building on Wednesday 23rd October, 2013 by 12.00 noon.
Important Notice
All applicants are to note that;-
1. Nothing in this advert shall be construed to be a commitment by the Corporation.
2. Failure to comply with any of the above instruction or to provide any of the above listed documents may automatically result to disqualification
3. The Corporation shall not enter into any correspondences with unsuccessful tenderers.
