Pre-Qualification to Tender
A. Introduction
The Abia State Polytechnic Aba has obtained approval in principle from Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) for the execution of her 2011/2012/2013 TETFUND NORMAL INTERVENTION PROJECTS.
Consequently, the Polytechnic hereby invites competent procurement firms to apply for pre-qualification as an initial step in the procurement process for the electrical equipment listed below:

| 02 | Welding and Fabrication /Civil Engineering Equipment |
| 03 | Basic Sciences and Environmental Sciences Equipment. |
A. Eligibility Criteria
Prequalification information will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Evidence of incorporation or Business Name Registration.
- Evidence of registration with Abia State Polytechnic Aba.
- Company’s current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years.
- VAT registration and evidence of past VAT remittance
- Evidence of financial capability and banking support backed by bank statement and audit reports.
- Verifiable evidence of previous experience in procurements of similar nature. (Attach Letters of Award and Certificates of Completion).
- Evidence of business relationship with reputable manufacturers of equipment.
B. Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
Interested bidders are expected to obtain Pre-qualification Forms from the Office of the Bursar Abia State Polytechnic, Aba on payment of the sum of N30, 500.00 (Thirty Thousand, Five Hundred Naira) Only.
Twenty (20 copies) of the filled pro-qualification to Tender Form and supporting document should be returned to the undersigned in a sealed envelope marked Procurement of Equipment for Abia State Polytechnic, Aba
Application for pre-qualification received after 9th May, 2014 shall not be considered.
D. Additional Information
i. Abia State Polytechnic does not commits itself to award this or any other contract to suppliers responding to this advert nor does it obligate itself to include the name of pre-qualifying suppliers in any tender list.
ii. Companies participating in the pre-qualification exercise shall not be entitled to make any claim(s) whatsoever or see any indemnity from the Abia State Polytechnic by virtue of their response to this advertisement.
