Invitation for Prequalification

Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) invites interested and reputable Companies/Firms for pre-qualification and tender/bidding for the execution of the following projects in the University.

Requirements:

Competent and interested contractors and suppliers who have requisite experience, equipment and plants and desire to execute the above projects are required to submit their firms profile which must include but not limited to the following documents.

(i)      Evidence of incorporation of the company with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

(ii)     Evidence of recent annual remittances to ITF (ITF Compliant)

(iii)    Evidence of current tax clearance certificate for the past three years (i.e. 2011, 2012, 2013)

(iv)    Evidence of VAT certificate and VAT remittances to Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS)

(v)    Evidence of registration with the University as a contractor indicating the category.

(vi)    Evidence of registration with the Anambra State Ministry of Works or Federal Ministry of Works.

(vii)   Evidence of current audited accounts of firms for the list three (3) years (i.e. 2012, 2013, 2014).

(viii)  Evidence of Financial capability and banking support (bank references), bank statement of account for last three months and letter authorizing the University to verify same from the bank.

(ix)    Sworn affidavit that (a) Firm is not bankrupt (b) none of the directors is an ex-convict or bankrupt.

(x)    Evidence of remitting employee pension contribution to appropriate pension fund custodian (PENCOM Compliance)

(xi)    Please state clearly your company’s full address, GSM Phone number and email address for ease of communication.

Method of Application

Eligible companies/firms who desire to be pre-qualified for these projects are required to prepare and submit their pre-qualification document, ONE (1) hard copy and ONE (1) soft copy in a sealed envelope clearly marked indicating on the top the chosen description/scope of work as well as the code of the chosen lot and address to:

Deadline for Submission

Pre-qualification documents should be submitted, registered and dropped into the Tenders Box at the Registrar’s Office. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam Campus on or before 29^th January 2015. Pre-qualification documents will be opened on a date to be determined by the University Tenders Board. All Contractors/Firms will be notified of the pre-qualification result in writing. Successful contractors would be required to collect tender documents from the Bursar’s office at Chukwuemeka Odumcgwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam Campus with evidence of registration with the University. On return of the tender documents, tenderers/bidders would be required to pay stipulated non refundable tender fee of N100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira Only). The completed tender document would be returned not later than 5^th February 2015.

Please note that response to this invitation would not oblige the University to consider any responding firm/company for pre-qualification. All costs incurred as a result of response to this invitation and any subsequent requests for information shall be borne by the responding firm/company.
