Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors for the Year 2011 Tetfund Entrepreneurship Intervention
1.0 Introduction
The Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero invites reputable and competent Contractors to submit their pre-qualification documents for assessment to bid for the year 2011 TETFund Entrepreneurship Intervention.
2.0 Scope of the Projects
The projects for which pre-qualification of contractors invited, are as follows:
LOT1: Rehabilitation of Administrative Block as Entrepreneurship Centres at Jega Dp-Land Farm.
LOT 2: Rehabilitation of Cold Room.
LOTS: Rehabilitation of Poultry Block.
LOT4: Rehabilitation of Fish Ponds, Animal Feeds Store, Construction of Fish Ponds and External Works.
LOT5: Rehabilitation of Electrical/Electronics, Construction of Mechanical/Welding Workshops, Agriculture and Bee Keeping Materials.
LOT 6: Procurement of Equipment for Testing Equipment and Measuring Instrument for Solar Photo Voltaic C-Training.
3.0 Pre-Qualification Requirements
To qualify for the bidding, the following documents are required: –
(i) Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission.
(ii) Audited accounts of the company for the last three (3) years.
(iii) Tax clearance certificates for the last three (3) years.
(iv) Evidence of VAT Registration and remittance,
(v) Evidence of similar and verifiable projects successfully executed by the company indicating location, letters of award and completion certificates for the last three (3) years.
(vi) List and specification of major equipment possessed by the company.
(vii) List of managerial, technical and administrative staff of the company
(viii)Evidence of financial capability and letter of introduction from a reputable Bank,
(ix) Evidence of remittance of staff pension contributions to the appropriate pension custodian/administrator,
(x) Evidence of remittance of training contribution in compliance with ITF Act 2011.
4.0 Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
Pre-qualification documents should be enclosed in a sealed envelope and marked “Pre-Qualification Documents for: …………….. on the top left hand corner and addressed to:

5.3 Closing Date for Submission
The deadline for submission of application(s) for pre-qualification is 28th May, 2014.
6.0 Opening of Pre-Qualification Documents
a. The pre-qualification documents received are to be opened on the closing date at 2:30pm in the Council Chamber of the University
b. All prospective contractors and the general public are invited to the opening ceremony.
c. Only pre-qualified contractors shall be invited to tender.
d. The University reserves the right to reject any or all the documents and to terminate the entire selection processes at any time without any explanation and any liability to the University
e. The University shall not go into any correspondence with any unpre-qualified contractor.
