Request for Expression of Interest as External Auditors
The National Mathematical Centre, Abuja intends to engage the services of a reputable Professional Audit Firm of Chartered Accountants to audit its Accounts.
1. Scope of Work
Audit of the National Mathematical Centre’s Account for the Financial Years 2012 and 2013.
2. Prequalification Requirements
- Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
- Copy of Tax Clearance Certificate for 2010, 2011 & 2012
- Copy of VAT Registration Certificate
- Evidence of registration with Industrial Training Funds and Remittance of contributions.
- Evidence of Pension/Social Security Contribution in accordance with the Pension Act, 2004.
- Company’s Audited Accounts for the last three years (2010, 2011 &2012)
- Verification evidence of similar jobs successfully handled in the past three years (2010, 2011 & 2012)
- Full details of the Company’s profile and list of key personnel (Including their CVs) stating their Designations, Roles, Qualifications and Experience
- Evidence of current accreditation (obtained on or before December, 9th 2013) by the office of the Auditor-General for the Federation
- Evidence of registration with Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria
- Evidence that the Finn has an active operating Office in Abuja
- Any other information(s) that will further enhance the technical qualification of the Firm
- Firms that have sole practitioners need not make any submissions
- Affiliation with recognized International Accounting firm or network will be an added advantage.
- 3. Submission of Expression of Interested (EOI.)
All EOIs are to be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Expression of Interest as External Auditor” not later than 12:00 noon of Monday 27th January, 2014 at the address below:

- 4. Opening of Bids
The Bids for Expression of Interest will be opened at 1:00 pm on Monday 27th January, 2014 at the Conference Room of the National Mathematical Centre, Abuja, Sheda- Kwali, Abuja in the presence of the Bidder’s Representative, NGOs, Civil Societies and the General Public.
- 5. Note:
- Expression of Interest shall be submitted upon payment of a non-refundable fee of N25, 000.00 (Twenty Five Thousand Naira) only in a certified Bank Draft in favour of National Mathematical Centre, Abuja.
- Bidders are to register their Bids on submission at the above address.
- Bids submitted after 12:00 noon of the opening day will not be accepted.
- All Stakeholders are hereby invited
