Request for Expression of Interest at Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority
REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
The Federal Government of Nigeria has received additional credit from the international Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of third National Fadama development (Fadama III)Adiitional financing project. Kano state, being one of the participating states is requiring the service of the following technical officers.
Project Engineer
Agronomist
Public Private Partnership (PPP) expert.
TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE POSITION
Positon: Project Engineer
Functions of the position:
Project engineering specialist will be responsible for providing overall guidance and support to production clusters in all aspects of planning, design, implementation, monitoring and quality assurance of infrastructure projects undertaken under Fadama III +Additional financing.
Qualifications and Experience
➢ Post graduate degree in engineering with specialization in Agricultural/Civil engineering.
➢ Minimum of five years experience in procurement, design and supervision of infrastructure works. Ability to assist cluster level engineering to set standards and procedure for ensuring quality and monitoring compliance.
➢ Prior experience as municipal engineer will be an added advantage.
> Fluency in English and local language essential.
Details of contract: one year contract to be renewed based on need and satisfactory performance.
Position: Agronomist
Functions of the position:
The agronomist will be working under the supervision of the Agricultural Advisory specialist, and reporting to the National project coordinator. Follow up the implementation of the technical assistance plan in the field during production, harvest and post harvest stage Support producers and producers group in setting up basic pre-processing and value addition facilities, prepare technical report and follow the records.
Qualification and Experience
1. Msc of Agronomy/Agricultural sciences.
2. 4-10 years of field experience proven experience in development projects and advisory services is a strong asset. Residency in the areas of intervention is an asset.
3. Good English Language and Computer skills.

Position : Public private partnership expert (ppp)
Overall Function of the position
The Public private partnership specialist will undertake the operation of the PPP Unit in so far as this relate to project implementation and technical assistance to farmers and implementing PPP projects in the production clusters.
Qualifications Required
Masters level or higher degree in project management, Economics, Statistics or other related degree.
Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience including at least 4years in planning, monitoring and evaluation of special projects.
Experience in public private partnership
Proven tract record in managing and leading investigative teams.
Good communication and writing skills.
Competence in contract management will be an advantage.
