Public Display Exercise on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the Proposed Thermal Desorption Unit Project at Iriebe, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State
In accordance with the Provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act CAP E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major development activities to carry out Environmental impact Assessment on their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces a twenty-one (21) working days Public Notice for information and comments on the Draft EIA Report submitted by Oilfield Management Services Limited.

- Obio-Akpor Local Government Area Headquarters, Rumuodo, Rivers State.

Brief Project Description;-
The proposed project will involve the construction of a Thermal Desorption facility with associated facilities like administrative Block, Warehouse, Access Road etc, at Okporo/lriebe, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area. The estimated capacity is 16 to 20 tonnes per day and the expected lifespan is 25 years.
