Public Display Exercise on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the Proposed Gold Mining Project in Fakai Local Government Area of Kebbi State and Kebbe Local Government Area of Sokoto State by ISS Hass Nigeria Limited
In accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act Cap El2 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major development activities to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces Twenty-One (21) working days Public Notice for information and comments on the Draft EIA Report submitted by ISS HASS Nigeria Limited.

Project Description;
The proposed project activities will involve exploration, exploitation and pre-processing of gold ore into gold concentrate for export purposes on mineral titles 3911EL and 3941 EL in Garin Auwal Village within Fakai Local Government Area of Kebbi State and in Lomu and Eromo Villages within Kebbe Local Government Area of Sokoto State respectively.

Date: 23rd March, 2015 – 20th April, 2015. Time: 8:00am – 4:00pm Daily.
