In accordance with the Environmental impact Assessment EIA Act CAP E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major development activities to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces a Twenty-One (21) working days Public Notice for information and comments on the EIA Draft Report submitted by Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited.

Project Description:
The proposed project will involve the construction and operation of a 40Km Nnewi – Ihiala – Orlu 132kV electric power transmission line which would transverse several communities within Nnewi and Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State and Orlu Local Government of Imo State. The project activities would involve clearing of transmission line Right of Way (approximately 120Ha of all vegetation), upgrade of the Oriu Substation, construction of transmission line towers, and other ancillary facilities.

Date: 16th March, 2015 -13th April, 2015.
Time: 8:00am – 4:00pm Daily.
