Invitation to Bid for the Supply of 3000 Metric Tones (100 Trucks) of NPK/Urea Fertilizers to the Taraba State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources Jalingo.
1.0 Introduction
1.1 The Taraba State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources intends to procure 3000 MTS (100 Trucks) of NPK and Urea fertilizers for distribution to farmers.
1.2 Accordingly, experienced and competent suppliers are invited to submit proposals for the supply of the assorted fertilizers.
2.0 Scope of Work
2.1 The scope of work is the supply of 70 Trucks of NPK 15:15:15 fertilizer & 30 Trucks of Urea 46:0:0 fertilizer of 50 kg bags weight.
3.0 Eligibility Criteria:
The Bidder must meet both the technical and financial tenders’ requirements as follows:
- Technical Tenders Requirements:
- Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
- Tax clearance certificate of last three (3) years
- Evidence of compliance with Pension Act
- Evidence of compliance with ITF contribution
- Detail company profile
- Company’s Audited Accounts for the last three (3) years
- Evidence of Financial Capability/Reference letter from a reputable Bank
- Bid Security (in line with public procurement law, 2012)
- Years of experience in the supply of similar items to the state or others in at least 5 similar projects
- Registration with relevant State Ministry and category
- Annual Turn over
- Vat Registration and Evidence of past VAT remittances
- Financial Tenders Requirements (Proposal)
- Schedule of Requirements and Prices
- Schedule of Payment and time required to deliver the consignment to the Taraba State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Jalingo.
4.0 Collection of Tender Documents
4.1 Bidders should obtain the Bidding documents Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources Headquarters, Jalingo on payment of a non-refundable tender fee of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (N25.000) cash only payable to the Taraba State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, P.M.B 1080 Jalingo on or before 18th April, 2014. The Bidding documents shall be made available to the bidder immediately after payment of the non-refundable fee.
5.0 Submission of Bids
5.1 The Technical and Financial proposals must be prepared as separate documents. Three (3) copies of the technical and financial proposals must be separately packaged in sealed envelope, clearly marked as either “Financial or Technical proposal” and not to be put together in a single (Bigger) envelope and addressed to:

6.0 Submission Closing Date and Time:
6.1 The closing date and time for the submission of the completed bidding documents is Mondays 21st April, 2014, at 12:00 pm
7.0 Opening Date and Time
7.1 Both the technical and financial bids will opened immediately after the closing date and time in line with 2012 public procurement law the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources Headquarters Jalingo.
