Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors for the Years 2011-2013 (Merged) Tetfund Normal Intervention in Library Development.
(A) Introduction:
The Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa is desirous of undertaking a Pre-qualification exercise for its 2011-2013 (Merged) Tetfund Normal intervention in Library development.
(B) Invitation:
Applications are hereby invited from interested and reputable Suppliers/Contractors with relevant experience, good track records and financial capability for pre-qualification to tender for the following projects:
Lot A: Procurement of assorted text Books and journals.
Lot B: Procurement and installation of inverters.
Lot C: E- Library Upgrading and Additional Equipment.
Lot D: Procurement of Computers.
Lot E: Procurement of Furniture.
Lot F: Procurement of Air conditioners and other office Equipment.
Lot G: Procurement of Bindery Accessories.
(C) Pre-Qualification Criteria:
In order to be considered for pre–qualification, the Prospective bidders are required to submit the following Documents:
- Evidence of incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years (2011, 2012, 2013) corresponding to declared turnover.
- Evidence of VAT Registration with TIN No. and past remittances for the last three (3) years (2011, 2012, 2013).
- Evidence of PENCOM registration in accordance with the pension Reform Act, 2004 including evidence of remittances of employees’ pension contribution/deductions.
- Evidence of Financial capability to execute the Projects (Bank Statement for the last 6 months), Credit worthiness and readiness to instruct bankers to supply financial information on the company as may be required.
- Company Audited Account for the last three (3) years (2011, 2012, and 2013).
- List of key Technical personnel including photocopies of their qualification.
- Evidence of compliance with ITF Amended Act 2011.
- Verifiable list of SIMILAR work successfully completed with names of clients, evidence of award and completion certificate attached for the past three (3) years.
- A sworn Affidavit certifying that all documents for the pre-qualification are genuine and current.
- A sworn Affidavit indicating whether any officer of the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa is a former or present Director, shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the company.
(D) Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents:
The completed pre-qualification document should be enclosed in an envelope, sealed and marked “PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS FOR (indicate the project you are bidding for – each project to be entirely separated if bidding for more than one project)” and address to:

- The completed pre-qualification documents should be deposited in the Tender Box in front of the security post at the entrance of the Administrative Block after signing the register at the same place on or before 6th February, 2015.
- The submitted pre-qualification documents will be opened on 6th of February, 2015, at 12:30pm in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend, at the ETF Auditorium of the institution.
- This is not an invitation to tender; full tendering procedure shall be supplied to bidders that have been pre-qualified and capable of project delivery
- Tenderers should note that only pre-qualified companies will be invited to submit financial bids. The management of Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa reserves the right to reject any submission(s) that do not meet up with requirements specified above.
Please note:
That due diligence would be followed as all documents submitted would be verified and the past executed works and contractor’s offices shall be visited. Any discrepancies found would disqualify the contractor.
