Invitation for Submission Of Expression Of Interest (EOI) For Pre-Qualification In Respect Of Procurements Under Year 2013 Needs Assessment Of CNANU (Special Presidential Intervention – Phase I Batch Ii) And Year 2013 TETFUND Special Intervention
- The Management of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina hereby invites reputable and competent Companies to submit their Pre-Qualification documents for assessment in respect of the execution of projects under Special Presidential Intervention – Phase I Batch II and Year 2013 Tetfund Special Intervention.
2. Scope of Project
The projects to be executed and for which pre-qualification of contractors is invited are listed as follows:
Lot I: Rehabilitation/Renovation of Hostels
Lot II: Rehabilitation/Renovation of Lecture Theatre and Lecture Rooms
Lot III: Furnishing of Centre for Information Technology (ICT) Technical Bid:
The pre-qualification documents should include: –
(a) Evidence of Incorporation/Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC);
(b) Company’s Current Tax Clearance for the last three (3) years;
(c) VAT registration and evidence of remittance in the last three (3) years;
(d) Company audited accounts for the last three (3) years including annual turn – over;
(e) Evidence of Financial Capability to execute the project. Bank reference and a letter of commitment to provide credit facility for the execution of the contract if eventually won;
(f) List of similar, verifiable and successfully executed projects or ongoing by the Company with letters of award and completion certificates, in the last three years only. Letters of award and interim certificates of payment should be attached for projects that are ongoing. Photographs or a list of jobs without evidence will not be assessed. Only contractors who have executed works above N100.0M for Lots I & II are eligible to apply;
(g) List of Managerial, key Technical and Administrative Staff of the Company which should include names, curriculum vitae and copies of certificates for each key staff;
(h) List of Equipment owned or on lease-hold by the company relevant to the smooth execution of the project. Evidence of ownership and pictures with company Logo is an added advantage;
(i) Evidence of remittance of pension contribution for staff of the company from reputable Pension Funds Administrators (PFA) as provided in section 16, subsection 6(d) of the Public Procurement Act, 2007;
(j) A sworn affidavit indicating that all documents submitted are genuine, verifiable and that no Officer of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina is a former or present director or shareholder of the company;
(k) A sworn affidavit that none of the directors have been convicted in any country for any criminal offence including fraud or financial impropriety;
(I) A sworn affidavit that the company is not in receivership,
(m) Scanned copies of (a), (b) and (c) above would be required and not photocopies. Original documents should be available for sighting on demand during or after the opening of prequalification documents; and
(n) Evidence of compliance with the provision of the Industrial Training Fund Amendment Act as stipulated in Section 6(1) – (3) for year 2013
4. Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
The pre-qualification documents should be in wax – sealed envelope with “Prequalification as Contractor” written at the top left hand corner.
All documents should be addressed to: The Registrar, 1st Floor, Senate Building, Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina and should be hand – delivered not later than 12 noon 9th April, 2014.
5.0 Opening of Prequalification/Tender Documents:
Pre-qualification and tender documents will be opened 9th April, 2014 at 12.30pm at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina, Room C101 First Floor, Senate Building. All Interested members of the public and intending contractors are hereby invited.
6. Please Note:
(a) Submission of pre-qualification documents to Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina is neither a commitment nor an obligation to award contract to any Contractor or his agent.
(b) Advertisement for invitation for submission of documents for Prequalification should not be construed as a commitment on the part of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina nor shall it entitle any Contractor to make any claims whatsoever or seek any indemnity from Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina.
(c) Due diligence would be followed as all documents submitted would be verified. Past executed works, contractors’ offices, plants and equipment may be visited for verification. Any discrepancies found would summarily disqualify the Contractor.
