Invitation for Pre-qualification and Tender
The Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri, is desirous of embarking on the under-listed TETfund (BOT) special Intervention project. Consequently, interested competent and experienced contractors are invited for prequalification and tender.
(A) PROJECT: Procurement and Installation of solar powered Security Lights under “the safe School and Security Initiatives”
(B) Pre-qualification Requirements
Interested contractors are required to submit the following with their applications:
Mandatory Requirements:
(i) Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
(ii) Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three years
(iii) Evidence of PENCOM compliance (registration and remittance not confirmation of registration)
(iv) Evidence of ITF Compliance (payment and certificate)
Others
(v) Company Audited Accounts for the last three years
(vi) Sworn affidavit indicating whether any staff of AIFCE is a former or present Director, Shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the company
(vii) Company profile, indicating technical qualifications and experience of key officers to be involved in the project
(viii) Financial capability /evidence of financial backing/ reference from a reputable bank
(ix) List of relevant equipment/plant with evidence of ownership
(x) List of similar projects executed; stating contract sums and evidence of award/completion
(xi) VAT registration and evidence of past VAT remittances
(C) Collection/Submission of Documents
Document for pre-qualification and Tender which must be in separate sealed envelopes and clearly marked “Application for pre-qualification for Procurement/Installation of Solar Powered Security Lights” “and Tender For…….” should be collected from the office of the DWS and forwarded to reach the address below not later than 12noon, on 9th April 2015.

General Information
(a) All claims made by applicants may be verified and any company whose claims are found to be false shall be Disqualified
(b) Contractors who have worked for this college and have history of poor performance, abandonment or prolonged contract period need not apply.
(c) Evidence of payment of non-refundable Tender fee of N35, 000.00 is required before collection of Tender Documents from the office mentioned above.
