Expression of Interest (EOI) for Provision of Consultancy Services to Develop Nigeria Industry, Trade & Investment Portal (N-TIP)
The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMIT&I) has recorded tremendous success in terms of trade facilitation, domestic economy growth and global market recognition. In order to maintain this trend, the need to develop a unified portal has been recognized.
The unified Portal named Nigeria Trade Investment Portal (N-TIP), would serve as a hub to integrate and interface all trade information systems and Portals currently used by the respective FMITI agencies.
The development and implementation of N-TIP would provide the following business objectives:
- Optimized effective trade & investment environment.
- Simplification of international trade processes.
- Establishment of harmonized and automated business processes for easy storage, retrieval, verification and clearance of information.
- Increased overall economic growth.
The consulting firm among other responsibilities expected to carry out the following:
- Provide a detail database to reposition Commerce as the hub of the Nigerian economy, whilst improving the investment climate.
- Develop a mechanism of promoting trade and investment and ensuring enhanced service delivery in a manner that will stimulate the growth of the domestic economy for self-reliance, export promotion and the nation’s integration into the global market taking full advantage of globalization.
- Develop effective implementation blue print of the N-TIP to integrate and interface all trade information, systems, portals and business processes across trade related agencies.
- Develop efficient system of data storage, retrieval, verification and clearance of information required by different authorities to aid the efficiency of the international trade supply chain of Nigeria.
- Develop basic productivity tools/systems to support government policy on transparency and integrity in trade related matters.
- Develop and operate a realistic monitoring framework to measure results of the Trade & Investment Portal (N-TIP).
- Provide measures to reduce time and cost of doing business in Nigeria thereby impacting positively on Nigeria’s ranking in the “Ease of Doing Business”.
- Provide a realistic business process analysis and effective Portal development.
- Develop efficient and workable website for N-TIP.
The programme is focused on execution and not planning. Interested firms should therefore note that special consideration will be given to proposals that are focused to provide realistic portal development that would improve the investment climate of the Nigerian economy.
Consequently, reputable firms interested in rendering these services to the Ministry & her agencies are requested to send in their Expression of interest (EOI) for that purposes.
Requirements
- Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission.
- Certified True Copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association.
- Evidence of payment of tax for the last 3 years as at when due.
- Certificate of compliance issued by the National Pension Commission.
- Evidence of payment of training contributions to ITF/Industrial Training Fund).
- Evidence of registration with financial reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) or compliance with FRCN Act.
- Evidence of participation in similar scheme with verifiable reference of related services rendered in the last five (5) years.
- Corporate profile of the firms including CV of key personnel supported by professional licenses, registered addresses, functional contact email address, & GSM phone numbers.
- Audited Accounts to the last three (3) years duly stamped by licensed Auditors.
- References of satisfactory performance from three (3) previous large clients.
Submission
Applications for EOI accompanied by relevant documents should also be forwarded in sealed envelope marked at the top left corner and boldly written “EOI in reaped of Consultancy Services” To Develop Nigeria Industry, Trade & Investment Portal” and addressed to Head of Procurement, Block G, Room III, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment, Area 1, Old Federal Secretarial, Garki, Abuja.
Closing Date: All submissions must be received by 18th August, 2014.
Opening Date: All submissions will be opened on 18th August, 2014 at the Ministry’s HQs (Room 111G), Abuja.
