Invitation to Tender for the Construction/Renovation Works and Provision of New Digital Public Address System
The Kano State Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in its continues effort to provide meaningful developmental projects to its teeming populace, intends to carry out the following Projects and Supplies:
(1) General Renovation Works of Legislative Quarters at Farawa, Maiduguri Road.
(2) Landscaping/interlocking Tiles Works at the Newly Constructed Hon. Speaker’s Wing and the Renovated Honourable Members’ Wing at the State House of Assembly, Audu Bako Secretariat
(3) Renovation of Rt. Honourable Speaker and Deputy Speaker’s Residences at Sharada Quarters
(4) Provision of New Digital Delegate Audio Public Address System at House of Assembly Chamber, Audu Bako Secretariat
Under contracts for which this invitation is made from the interested successfully pre-qualified firms for the exercise.
These companies are therefore required to obtain the Bid Documents from the office of the Secretary, Special Ministerial Tenders Board, after the payment of non-refundable fee of Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000:00) only for each document.
However, the application is open to voluntary formed joined ventures.
All bidders are also requested to:
(i) Inspect the project location and the quantity of works to be executed in order to ensure that there is no deficiency score.
(ii) Ensure that their bids adequately cover the execution of the works without further demand on Government.
(iii) It has to be noted that the process is not bound to consider the lowest bidder.
(iv) Submit all bids and other bidding documents in sealed envelope.
(v) Enclose a photocopy of the receipt as evidence for the payment of the fee for bidding documents.
(vi) Submit a bid security in an amount not less than 3% of the bid price.
(vii) Bid security or any other bidding documents will not be accepted when the bidding process has commenced.
(viii) Enclose evidence of Compliance with Section 6 (1) – (3) of ITF Amendment Act No. 19 of 2011 for the last One (1) Year.
(ix) Enclose evidence of COREN Practicing License

(5) Submission of BID must be received in sealed envelope which is to be either delivered by hand or registered mail, not later than 6th August 2015. The Bid document shall be forwarded in an envelope to the address below containing “Bid Documents for i) General Renovation Works of Legislative Quarters at Farawa, Maiduguri Road, ii) Landscaping/ Interlocking Tiles Works at Hon. Speaker’s / Members’ Wings at the State House of Assembly, Audu Bako Secretariat. iii) Renovation of Rt. Honourable Speaker and Deputy Speaker’s Residences at Sharada Quarters, iv) Provision of New Digital Delegate Audio Public Address System for the State House of Assembly, on the top right-hand corner of each envelope. Meanwhile, the submission of the proposed Work plan, Methodology and Logistics could be an added advantage.

Please note that the opening of the Bid shall be performed on Thursday 06th August, 2015, and that participation in the Bidding exercise is not a guarantee to secure the contract. Interested firms are to also note that only pre-qualified companies who participated in the 2015 EOI are invited to tender for the works. The Kano State Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport reserve the right to accept or reject late submissions. The most Successful Company will be issued with Provisional Award Letter in due course.
