2013 MDGS Conditional Grants Scheme to Six (6) Local Government Areas in Ekiti State
Invitation for Bids
The Government of Ekiti State, Nigeria is partnering with the Federal Government of Nigeria to execute projects in Ido/Osi, Moba, Irepodun/Ifelodun, Ise/Orun, Gbonyin and Emure Local Governments under the 2013 MDGs Conditional Grants Scheme to Local Government Track to enhance the prospect of achieving the Millennium Development Goals in Nigeria.
The Ekiti State MDGs Office now invites sealed bids from interested and qualified bidders for the execution of projects classified under the following Lots:
A. Lot 1 – Provision of Boreholes in Schools, Health Facilities and Communities
1.1 Drilling of Hand Pump boreholes
1.2 Drilling of motorised boreholes
1.3 Drilling of Solar boreholes
Lot 2 – Construction/Renovation Work
2.1 Construction/Renovation of Blocks of Classroom
23. Construction of VIP Toilets
2.3 Construction of Health Facilities (Medical Wards, Staff Quarters, Fence and Gate House etc.)
Lot 3 – Procurement
3.1 Procurement of Ambulances & motorcycles
3.2 Procurement of Drugs and Medical Equipment
3.3 Procurement of Furniture for Primary School Pupils & Teachers
B. Bid Requirements
The Tender for these projects will be in two (2) parts:
- Technical Bid: This will involve the presentation of necessary proof of technical competence and capacity to execute such projects. The proof should include the following:
a) Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
b) Evidence of Company Profile Including profile of key technical personnel
c) Evidence of registration with the MDGs Office in Ekiti State
d) Evidence of Ekiti State tax clearance certificate for the last three (3) financial years
e) Evidence of payment of development levy for the last three (3) financial years
f) Evidence of registration of Business Premises in Ekiti State
g) Evidence of registration with Ekiti State Bureau of Public Procurement
h) Reference letter from a reputable bank
I) Evidence of previous relevant similar experience in terms of project value, volume, complexity and management in the last five (5) years Including certificate(s) of completion is an added advantage.
j) Evidence of VAT registration.
2. Commercial Bid: This will involve the presentation of priced bills to confirm competitiveness.
3. Collection and Submission of Tender Documents
- A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased from the address below after payment of non-refundable appropriate Tender fees. Bid must be delivered to the same address not later than 2.00pm Thursday, 5th June, 2014. Late bids will be rejected.
ii. The bid documents must be submitted in two separate envelopes clearly marked on top right hand corner as:
- Technical Bid Document
- Commercial Bid Document
iii. Bid will be opened 3.00pm on Thursday, 5th June, 2014 in the presence of bidders/their representatives.
4. Note
- No bidder is considered responsive unless both the Technical and Commercial Bids are submitted.
- This advertisement is not a commitment on the part of Ekiti State MDGs Office nor shall it entitle companies to make any claims whatsoever from the Office or the State Government.
- The State MDGs Office reserves the right to verify any claim by potential bidders.
- Contractors with good performance in previous Ekiti State MDGs projects have an added advantage.
