Re: Public Display Exercise on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the Proposed Tin and Columbite Mining Project at Pingel Village, Toro Local Government Area, Bauchi State by Henan Golden Stone Mining and Processing Company Nigeria Limited

In accordance with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act, CAP E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major development activities to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment of their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces a twenty-one (21) working day Public Notice for information and comments on the draft EIA Report submitted by Henan Golden Stone Mining and Processing Company Nigeria Limited.

The Display Centers Are:

Project Description:

The proposed project will involve the extraction and processing of tin/columbite mineral through the drilling blasting, haulage, crushing and screening of rocks. Other project activities will include the construction of an administrative block and other ancillary facilities. The proposed project will be located on an exploration lease (8613EL) of three hundred and ninety-six (396) cadastral units equivalent to 79.2 Km2 at Pingel Village within Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

Duration of Display:

Date: 1^st July, to 29th July 2015.

Time: 8:00am – 4:00pm Daily.

All Comments Received Should be Forwarded to the Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Environment on or before 4^th August, 2015.
