Public Display Exercise on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the Proposed Trans-Nigeria Gas Pipeline Project Early Gas Phase From QUA-IBOE Terminal (QIT) to OBIGBO NODE at Eleme Rivers State by NNPC.

 In accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act Cap El2 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major development activities to carry out Environmental Impact

Assessment (EIA) of their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces a twenty-one (21) working days Public

Notice (or information and comments on the draft EIA Report submitted by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation

Project Description:

The proposed trans-Nigeria gas pipeline project will traverse three (3) States namely Abia, Akwa-lbom and Rivers State. The gas pipeline is

36inches wide and covers a total length of 139km.

The project is expected to start from the Qua-lboe Terminal in Akwa-Ibom State, traversing through Ukwa west and East in Abia State and terminating at obigbo in Rivers State

Date: 4^th May – 1^st June, 2015

Time: 8:00am – 4:00pm Daily

 All Comments Received Should be Forwarded to the Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Environment on or before 8^th June, 2015
