Public Display Exercise on the Environmental Impact Assessment (FIA) for the Proposed Okoro Further Field Development Project (FFDP) (OML 112) at Akwa Ibom State

In accordance with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act, CAP El2 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major development activities to carryout Environmental Impact Assessment of their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces a twenty-one (21) working days Public Node for information and comments on the draft EIA report submitted by Amni Internal Petroleum Development Company Limited.

The Display Centers Are:

• Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, State Secrets Abak road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
• Federal Ministry of Environment Office, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
• Federal Ministry of Environment library, Conservation House (Green Building), Plot 444Aguiyi Ironsi way, Maitama, FCT. – Abuja.
• Federal Ministry of Environment, Environment House (Brown Building), Independence Way, Central Business Area, F.C.T. – Abuja.

Project Description:

The proposed project entails drilling of about seventeen (17) producing wells and Seven (7) injectors, installation and operation of a Mobile Offshore Production Uni (MOPU) as well as installation of an export line for transportation of fluids from Okoro Field to Ima Field e facility in the Eastern section of the Okoro Field which is located in OML 112, approximately 12km offshore, South of the coastline of Akwa Ibom State.

Duration of Display:

Date: 6^th April to 4^th May, 2015

Time: 8.00am-4.00pm Daily.

All comments received should be forwarded to the Honoura Minister, Federal Ministry of Environment on or before 11^th May, 2015
