 Invitation for Pre-Qualification to Tender for Tertiary Education Trust Fund (Tetfund) Library Development Projects (year 2011, 2012 & 2013 Merged)

Applications are hereby invited from suitable and interested suppliers with relevant experience and good track record to express their interest in bidding for the under-listed Tetfund Years 2011, 2012 & 2013 (Merged) Library Development Projects for the Library of the Polytechnic Ibadan.

(2)     Pre-Qualification Criteria

Interested suppliers are requested to submit the following pre-qualification documents

(a)     Evidence of valid registration as contractor/ supplier with The Polytechnic, Ibadan

(b)     Evidence of incorporation of company and current tax clearance certificate for the last three (3) years.

(c)      Company profile and organisational structure, including names and resources of key personnel.

(d)     Evidence of technical competence in handling project(s) in question (e.g. adequate number of equipment and technical staff).

(e)      Verifiable list of previous/similar projects/works carried out in recent past

(f)      Evidence of financial strength, credit worthiness and solvency of company, including its current audited account

(3) Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents

Spiral bound pre-qualification documents in sealed envelopes with the inscription “PRE­QUALIFICATION BIDS FOR TETF/POLY/OYO/LIBRARY 2011, 2012 & 2013/LIBRARY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS” must be hand-delivered not later than the close of work on Friday, 9^th January, 2015 to:

(4)     Opening of Pre-Qualification Documents

Pre-qualification envelopes will be opened at 12.00 noon on Monday, 12th January, 2015 and interested and intending suppliers are free to attend.

(5)     Announcement of Successful Pre-Qualification Bids

Names of pre-qualified contractors/suppliers will be announced on Tuesday, 13^th January, 2015 at 3.00pm and the tender documents of the contract of interest of each pre-qualified contractors/suppliers distributed. Pre-qualified contractors/suppliers should note that they will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira only (10,000.00) as processing fee for tender for one project or Fifteen Thousand Naira only (15,000.00) for two projects and Twenty Thousand Naira only (N-20,000.00) for more than two projects.

(6)     Submission of Tender Documents

Tender documents in seated envelopes with inscription TENDER PROJECT No……….written at the top left hand corner should be hand-delivered not later than 10 a.m. on Tuesday 20^th January, 2015

The tender envelope should also contain Bursary receipt for payment of the appropriate tender processing fee.

(7)     Opening of tender Documents

Tender documents will be opened at 3.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 20^th January, 2015 and interested members of the public especially the tenderers are hereby invited.

Please Note:

(a)     That notwithstanding the submission offender documents, The Polytechnic, Ibadan is not obliged to award contract to any contractor.

(b)     That this advertisement for invitation to pre-qualify shall not be construed as a commitment on the part of The Polytechnic, Ibadan nor shall it entitle any contractor to make any claims whatsoever, and/or seek indemnity from The Polytechnic, Ibadan

(c)      That the Polytechnic, Ibadan is under no obligation to award a contract to the lowest bidder
