Pre-Qualification of Contractors and Call to Tender for Procurement Projects
(1) Preamble
Abia State University desires to undertake the procurement and installation of various scientific equipment under its 2014 Tetfund (Special) Interventions Programmes.
(2) Pre-Qualification Requirement
Interested bidders should meet the following pre-qualification requirements:
(i) Tax Clearance Certificate of the firm for the last three years
(ii) Evidence of VAT Registration & remittance
(iii) Evidence of PENCOM registration and remittance
(iv) Evidence of Registration as a Contractor with Abia State Government
(v) Evidence of Registration as a Contractor with Abia State University
(vi) Company’s Audited Account for the past three (3) years
(vii) Current evidence of Financial Capability from the Firm’s Banker(s)
(viii) Corporate profile of the firm, showing technical competence of personnel
(ix) Evidence of performance on similar projects, contract award letters and completion Certificates
(x) Registration with Industrial Training fund (ITF)

(4) Collection and Submission of Bids Documents
Interested bidders are requested to obtain the bid documents from the Director of Physical Planning, Office of the Vice-chancellor, on the payment of a non-refundable Bid/Tender fees, as specified on the table above.
Completed Tender documents should be submitted to the Office of the Registrar/Secretary to Council Tenders Board, in two sealed envelopes (one for the Pre-Qualification and the other for the Bid) not later than Wednesday, 25th March, 2015.
