Save the Children International in Nigeria is inviting submissions of tender to do a baseline assessment in selected LGAs of Lagos state. Save the Children is planning to design a long term programme on diarrhoea prevention & control to be implemented in Lagos state, specifically in 4 LGAs (Alimosho, Shomolu, Kosofe, and Lagos Mainland). In order to effectively inform the design of this strategic intervention, Save the Children intends to have a comprehensive equity-based understanding of the prevailing child survival / health and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) situation, and the prevailing policy, programmes and the barriers to access for child health and water sanitation services in the Lagos State in general and targeted LGAs in particular. The main purpose of the study is to analyse the strengths, weaknesses and opportunities to better grasp, what our potential focus should be, and what quantifiable outcomes and impact can be achieved in the next 3-5 years in terms of scaling up access to evidence-based equitable, essential and innovative diarrhea prevention and control services.
The tenders for contract are expected to carry out the aforementioned research and submit a technical and financial proposal of not more than 8 pages and 2 page respectively. Detailed technical specifications are included within the tender documents which are available upon request.
