Invitation to Tender for 2009 – 2012 Merged Tetfund Intervention in Library Development Projects
(1.0) Introduction
The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi wishes to notify the General Public of its intention to utilize its 2009 – 2012 Merged TetFund Intervention in Library Development Project.
Interested, eligible, competent and reputable agents/suppliers with relevant experience, requisite expertise and good track record of timely delivery of projects/supplies are hereby invited for the execution of the projects listed below:
(2.0) Scope of Work
Lot-1 Procurement of Assorted Books for Faculty of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology.
Lot-2 Procurement of Assorted Books for College of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Lot-3 Procurement of Assorted Books for Faculty of Management Technology.
Lot-4 Procurement of Assorted Books for Faculty of Engineering and Engineering Technology.
Lot-5 Procurement of Assorted Books for Faculty of Environmental Technology.
Lot-6 Procurement of Assorted Books for Faculty of Technology Education.
Lot-7 Procurement of Assorted Books for Faculty of Science.
Lot-8 Procurement and Installation of Electronic Library Facilities, Equipment and Furnishing.
3.0 Pre-Qualification Requirements
The underlisted are pre-qualification requirements that should be submitted by interested Suppliers/Contractors:
(i) Evidence of Company Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
(ii) Company Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) consecutive years.
(iii) Pencom Certificate of Compliance
(iv) Evidence of compliance with the ITF Amendment Act, 2011
(v) Company VAT Registration Certificate
(vi) Company’s audited account for the last three (3) consecutive years
(vii) Evidence of verifiable similar projects executed within the last three (3) years.
(viii) Evidence of financial competence from a reputable commercial bank.
(ix) Company profile indicating detailed CVs of key company staff.
(x) A sworn affidavit to the effect that none of the Directors has been convicted of any criminal offence relating to fraud or financial impropriety or criminal offence relating to criminal misrepresentation, falsification of facts relating to any matter.
(xi) Any other relevant document that may be of advantage
(4.0) Collection of Tender Documents
Interested Suppliers/Contractors should collect bid documents from Monday the 12th of January, 2015 from the Office of the Director of Works upon presentation of evidence of payment of non-refundable Tender Fee of Lots 1 – 7 – N5,000/Per Lot, Lot 8 – N25,000 to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.
(5.0) Submission of Tender Documents
Completed bid documents should be in two (2) separate sealed envelopes, labeled “Technical” and “Financial” (2 envelopes system) placed in a larger envelope clearly marked with the relevant project title and addressed to:

The closing date for submission of bids is Monday, 23rd February, 2015
(6.0) Opening of Bids
Opening of bids shall commence immediately following the expiration of the deadline by 12.00 noon at the Council Chamber, Gubi Campus.
