Invitation for Tender

(A)    Preamble:

The Nigerian Institute for Trypanosomiasis Research (NITR), Kaduna invites competent and reputable contractors and suppliers to submit Bid Documents for the Institute’s year 2014 Capital Project Lots under the following captions:

1. Procurement of Scientific Equipment for Laboratories.
2. Procurement of Drugs, Laboratory Reagents and other Consumables.
3. Procurement of Office and Laboratory Cabinets, Furniture, Computer and Accessories.
4. Procurement of Security Gargets and Time Attendance Management System.
5. Procurement and Installation of Solar panels, Inverters, Ceilling Projectors and Accessories.
6. Rehabilitation and Furnishing Projects.
7. Procurement of Equipment for Tsetse flies Mass Rearing Facility for PATTEC- Nigeria.
8. Procurement of projects vehicles

(B)     Requirements:

Prospective contractors shall be required to submit the following documents:

1. Valid Certificate of Incorporation/Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
2. Tax Clearance Certificate for the last 3 years (2011, 2012, and 2013).
3. Value Added Tax Registration Certificate.
4. Company’s Profile including details of key staff strength.
5. Name and Address of Bank(s) including letter(s) of reference from the Bank.
6. Evidence of execution of similar contract(s) with the Institute or any other Government establishment. (Letter of Award and Certificate of successful completion to be attached).
7. Audited Financial Statement of the company for the past 3 years (2011, 2012 & 2013) are to be attached.
8. Payment of N10,000.00 processing fees for each LOT.
9. Evidence of Valid Registration with NITR as Contractor.

(C)    Collection Of Bid Documents

The Bid Documents should be collected from the office of the Head of Procurement Unit.

(D)    Submission Of Documents

1. The Documents for each LOT must be submitted and arrange in the order of sequence in (B) above.
2. Each submission should be sealed in a big envelope containing both technical and Financial Bid in separate sealed envelopes and the Job LOT number clearly written at the top left hand corner of the envelope.
3. The document should be addressed to the:

Director-General/CEO

Nigerian Institute for Trypanosomiasis Research

P.M.B. 2077, No. 1 Surame Road, U/Rimi, Kaduna.

4.       The document should be deposited in the Tenders Box in the Office of the Ag. Director-Admin & Finance on or before 22nd September, 2014 by 12:00pm

(E)     Opening of bids:

The Bid will be opened on Monday 22nd September, 2014 by 12:00 noon, at NITR Main Auditorium, Kaduna.

(F)     Disclaimer:

All bidders participating in the exercise should note that NITR is not bound to give any one job. The criteria set up will be used strictly for the assessment and determination of the eventual winner.

Please Note

The submission must be specific and should clearly state area of proving competence and Interest

Only the successful contractors for the Technical Bid evaluation shall have their financial Bid opened and shall be contacted. You are to provide your functional GSM Number for this purpose.
