Invitation to Tender
The Regional Centre for Training in Aerospace Surveys (RECTAS) is an Inter-Governmental organisation established in 1972 under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) to develop human capacities in Geoinformatics (GIS, Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing and Cartography) for resources’ mapping and sustainable development. The Centre is situated in the campus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. The Federal Government of Nigeria, as host country, is supporting some physical development activities in the Centre. Accordingly, reputable and competent contractors are hereby invited to submit tender for the execution of the following projects:
LOT 1: Completion of Administrative Building.
LOT 2: Completion of International Student Hostel (Block B).
LOT 3: Completion of International Guest House.
LOT 4: Completion of Staff Quarters (Block D-Block of Flats).
LOT5: Completion of lecture Theatres.
LOT 6: Equipping of Auditorium(Provision of seats).
LOT 7: Completion of Rehabilitation of Infrastructure Facilities;
- Internal Road network.
- Drainage system
- Water pipe network
- Electricity and street lights
LOT8: Provision of digital facilities/software for;
- Photogrammetry laboratory.
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) laboratory.
- Cartography laboratory.
- ICT Installation & Software Subscription.
LOT 9: E-library Subscription and Stocking of Books /Journals.
LOT 10: Completion of on-going Recreation Centre
- Lawn tennis court.
2 Requirements:
Interested Companies are requested to forward their financial bid with the following:
(a) Certificate of Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC);
(b) Tax Clearance Certificate for the past three (3) years;
(c) VAT Registration Certificate/Evidence of Remittance;
(d) Evidence of Financial capability to handle the project or banking support.
(e) Names email address and telephone numbers of CEOs of the companies.
(f) Details of Company profile including previous experience on similar projects.
(g) Evidence of registration with the COREN, and
(h) Evidence of compliance with 2004 Pension Act.
3. Completion of tenders Documents:
Prospective Bidders should collect bidding documents from the office of undersigned on payment of a non-refundable tender fee as follows:
(a) N100, 000.00 (One hundred thousand naira) for each project listed on Lot 1 – 7i.
(b) N50, 000.00 (Fifty thousand naira) for each project listed on Lot 8 & 9.
(c) N25, 000.00 (Twenty-five thousand naira) for each project listed on Lot 7ii – 7iv& 10.
4. Submission of Tender and Public Opening of Bids:
All completed tenders should be submitted in sealed envelopes with the inscription of the project tendered for Lot No and addressed to: “The Executive Director Regional Centre for Training in Aerospace Surveys (RECTAS), Off Road 1, Obafemi Awolowo University Campus, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria”, and is to be dropped by hand into the Tenders Board of RECTAS on or before 12:00 noon on Wednesday 30th April, 2014. Opening of Bids commenced immediately after the closure of the submission of Bids. By this notice, NGOs, Nigeria Institution of Surveyors, COREN and General Public are encouraged to witness the Financial Bids opening, please.
5. Important Information;
Please Note that;
- The Centre reserves the right to verify the veracity and authenticity of any claim(s) made in the documents submitted by companies, and
- Failure to comply with requisite requirements may result in disqualification of Bids.
- The Award of Contract under these projects is subject to release of funds under 2014 Capital Budget.
