Invitation for Tender
Invitation is hereby extended to reputable contractors to tender for the under-listed projects in the Hospital.
Lot A – Completion and Furnishing of Consultant Building Phase II
The works involves the Construction of a building block of 24 offices for the Consultants at the Permanent Site of the Hospital with an estimated gross floor area of 511m2. The scope of works involves construction of concrete strip foundations reinforced concrete columns, beam, Civil/Building, mechanical and electrical services, finishes, painting and decoration. It includes the provision of furniture’s, fitting and fixtures.
Lot B – Construction of Library Complex
The works involves the Construction of a building which comprises of 54 Reading Room A, 54 Reading Room B, 36 Consultants Reading Room, 36 Reserves Reading Room, 14 Serials Reading Room, 60 Internet Room/e-library, Offices, Stores, Working room, Toilets at the Permanent Site of the Hospital with an estimated gross floor area of 864m2. The Scope of works involves the construction of concrete strip foundations reinforced concrete columns, beam, Civil/Building, mechanical and electrical services, finishes, painting and decoration. It includes the provision of furniture’s, fittings and fixtures.
Lot C – Construction of Special V.I.P Ward
The works involves the construction of a building to house a 10 Bed Ward, 2
Consulting Rooms, 3 Offices, Records Room, Sterilizing Room, Pharmacy, Laboratory and Waiting Lounge at the Permanent Site of the Hospital with an estimated gross floor Area of 697.74m2. The scope of works involves the construction of concrete strip foundations reinforced concrete columns, beam, Civil/Building, mechanical and electrical services, finishes, painting and decoration. It includes the provision of furniture’s, fittings and fixtures.
Lot D – Construction of Administrative Block Phase III
The works involves the construction of 2 storey building block of Administrative Offices at the Permanent Site of the Hospital with an estimated gross floor area of 1,847.37m2. The scope of works involves the construction of concrete strip foundations reinforced concrete columns, suspended slab. Civil/Building, mechanical and electrical services, finishes Painting and decoration. It includes the provision of furniture, fittings and fixtures.
Conditions for Eligibility
All bids must be accompanied with the following:
(i) Evidence of Company’s registration with Corporate Affairs Commission
(CAC)
(ii) Evidence of previous performance of similar job
(iii) Evidence of strong capital base (Financial capability) and Banking support (iv) Evidence of payment of last 3 years Tax Clearance Certificate. (2010-2012)
(v) Evidence of Technical and Managerial as well as equipment capabilities
(vi) Evidence of VAT registration and remittances
(vii) Evidence of audited account for last three years (2010-2012)
(viii) Evidence of payment of training contributions to ITF (Industrial Training Fund)
(ix) Evidence of compliance with Pension Reform Act, 2004.
Submission/Closing Date
Interested Contractors are required to pay a non-refundable tender fee of N10,000.00 (Ten Thousand) Naira only, to the Accounts department, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital and present the original receipt to collect the bill of quantities, drawings and other specifications from the Secretary, Procurement Committee/UITH Tenders Board.
The tender documents (Bill of quantities/quotation and documents to support i-ix above) and a Bid security of 2% of the quoted sum in Bank-draft payable to the Hospital are to be submitted in a sealed envelope with Lot Number and Project Title addressed to -The Chief Medical Director, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. Ilorin on Thursday 21st November, 2013 between 10.00a.m. to 12.00 noon at the Board room of the Hospital. Thereafter, by 1.00 p.m. prompt all the quotations received will be opened on the same day in the presence of all the bidders and the general public.
