Invitation for Submission of Technical Bids in Respect of 2011-2013 Tetfund Merged Normal, 2013 Special and Presidential Needs Intervention Projects
Introduction
Kaduna State University intends to utilize its 2011-2013 TETFUND Merged Normal, 2013 Special and Presidential Needs interventions in the procurement of works and goods as under:
Lot 1: Construction of 500 Seat Capacity Lecture Theatre.
Lot 2: Furnishing of 500 Seat Capacity Lecture Theatre.
Lot 3: Construction of Twin Lecture Halls.
Lot 4: Furnishing of Twin Lecture Halls.
Lot 5: Construction of Post Graduate Lecture Classes.
Lot 6: Furnishing of Post Graduate Lecture Classes.
Lot 7: Construction of Computer Centre at Kafanchan.
Lot 8: Furnishing of Computer Centre at Kafanchan.
Lot 9: Expansion of Computer Centre at Kaduna.
Lot 10: Furnishing of Computer Centre at Kaduna.
Lot 11: Procurement of Equipment for Department of Biological Sciences.

Lot 27: Supply and Installation of Office and Auditorium Furniture for 1000 seat
Lot 28: Supply and installation of ICT Equipment and Alternative Power Supply to 1000 Capacity Auditorium Complex.
Lot 29: Construction of Multipurpose Science Laboratory Complex.
Lot 30: Procurement of Furniture for Multipurpose Science Laboratory Complex.
Lot 31: Procurement of Furniture for Social and Management Science Complex.
Lot 32: 2 no Project Monitoring Vehicles.
Lot 33: Construction of Faculty of Agricultural (Phase II).
Lot 34: Furnishing of Faculty of Agricultural (Phase II).
Lot 35: Furnishing of Laboratories and Offices at Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science Complex.
Lot 36: Furnishing of Laboratories at Faculty of Science Complex.
Lot 37: Procurement of Equipment for Faculty of Medicine.
Lot 38: Procurement of Furniture and Equipment for Library at Kafanchan.
Lot 39: Construction of Male Hostel Kafanchan.
Lot 40: Construction of Male Hostel Kaduna.
Lot 41: Construction of Female Hostel Kaduna.
Lot 42: Construction of Teaching Farm for Faculty Agricultural Kafanchan.
Lot 43: Construction of Staff Offices Kaduna.
Lot 44: Construction of Post Graduate Lecture Halls Kaduna.
Lot 45: Rehabilitation of Academic Conference Building Kaduna.
Lot 46: Reticulation of Water to Residential Quarters Kafanchan.
Lot 47: Rehabilitation of Existing Power Network Kaduna.
Lot 48: Construction and Equipping of Sporting Facilities Kaduna.
Lot 49: Construction of Public Toilets, Kaduna.
- Pre-Qualification Requirements
Reputable and interested contractors/vendors wishing to undertake the procurements are to indicate their intention by submitting Technical Bid documents in the following order:
(i) Evidence of Incorporation/Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
(ii) Evidence of current Tax Clearance for the last Three (3) years.
(iii) Certified audited account for the last Three (3) years.
(iv) Verifiable evidence of similar jobs successfully executed.
(v) Experience and technical capabilities of the company including key staff and qualifications.
(vi) Evidence of financial capability/support and reference from a recognized Financial Institution/Bank.
(vii) Evidence of VAT registration and remittance in the last Three (3) years.
(viii) Evidence of compliance with provision of the Pension Reform Act, 2004 as evidenced by a National PENCOM Commission Clearance Certificate.
(ix) Evidence of compliance with provision of the Industrial Training Fund Act, 2011 Sections.
In addition to above, contractors interested in ‘LOT 1 and 26’ must show evidence of previous annual turnover. Contractors with annual turnover of less than N500 million need not apply for these Lots.
- General Information
- Submission is to be made in sealed envelope clearly marked ‘Technical Bid’ indicating the Lot No. under submission.
- Bid is to be enclosed in a single envelope properly addressed and submitted to the Secretary, Tenders Committee in the office of the Registrar, Kaduna State University, Tafawa Balewa Way, Kaduna on or before Tuesday September 30, 2014. Submission closes by 10.00am same day and bid opening commences immediately after at the Senate Chamber of the University.
- Only pre-qualified respondents will be invited to submit financial bid.
- This is only an invitation for solicitation to submit and does not bear any financial undertaking on the part of the University.
- All enquiries should be directed to the office of the Director, Physical Planning & Development, Kaduna State University.
- The University reserves the right to make detailed search on documents submitted.
- This advertisement supercedes the earlier one.
