Project/Consultancy Title: Procurement of Start-up kits for Veterinary Services.
Project Location(s): Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau and Kaduna States
Consultancy Objectives:
The purpose of this one year contract is for the start-up kits to be delivered to the CAHW’s that have been trained to carry out the skills they acquired from the veterinary service training, and be available to provide the deliverables needed by the CAHW’s when needed . These kits will enable trained community members to adequately carry out the services in the community by equipping them with all necessary items to care for their livestock. It will also generate income for the communities which will help to improve livelihoods within the communities. The use of the kits will simultaneously promote economic interdependence between two previously conflicting communities. This project aims to reduce resource competition, increase economic opportunity, and promote cooperation between the pastoralist and the farming communities in Plateau, Nassarawa, Benue and Kaduna respectively. The consultant will be responsible for providing a start-up kit for these trained CAHWs. The consultant should have an intimate knowledge of Veterinary services.
