Request for Expression of Interest: External Audit of the Accounts of the Abidjan Lagos Trade and Transport Facilitation Project (ALTTFP) for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 Fiscal Years
(1) The Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Organization (ALCO) has received a grant from the World Bank to fund the Abidjan-Lagos Regional Trade and Transport Facilitation Project (ALTTFP), The objective of this project is to facilitate the free movement of people and goods along the corridor by reducing the physical and non-physical barriers, increasing the competitiveness of ports and reducing the impact of HIV / AIDS on transport and trade communities along the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor.
(2) ALCO Governing Board now invites eligible firms to express their interest for the audit of project financial statements of the ALTTFP for three fiscal years (2014-2016).
(3) The objective of the audit is to enable the auditor to express a professional opinion on the financial position of the project at the end of each fiscal year and ensure that the resources made available to the Project are used for the purposes for which they were granted in order to achieve the Project development objective.
(4) The Consultant must be a chartered accounting and auditing firm, whose regular occupation is to carry audit of accounts, duly registered with an Order of Chartered Accountants internationally recognized by IFAC or FIDEF and with proven experience in financial audit of development projects and acceptable to IDA. Consultants are invited to express their interest by submitting an application and providing information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services described above (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of skills required)
(5) A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures defined in the Guidelines: “Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004, revised in October 2006”.

(6) The expected duration of the mission is thirty (30) days per fiscal year.
