Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors for the Execution of TETFUND 2013 Library Development Projects
The Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, invites reputable and competent Contractors/Suppliers for the Prequalification and Tendering exercise for the following TETFund 2013 Library Intervention projects.
1.0 Preamble
The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has given Approval-in-Principle to the Kwara State Polytechnic for year 2013 Library Development Projects. Therefore, competent and interested suppliers are hereby requested to submit pre-qualification documents for any of the listed procurements upon payment of appropriate fees.
2.0 Scope of Works
- Procurement of various Textbooks & Journals – Lot A
- Procurement of Library Materials/Equipment – Lot B
- Library Management, Software and Data Bases – Lot C
3.0 Tender Fees
- Lot A – N100, 000.00
- Lot B – N50, 000.00
- Lot C – N50, 000.00
4.0 Pre-qualification Requirements
To be qualified for Tender, the following documents should be submitted.
- Company Name, Address and Location should be clearly stated.
- Certificate of Company’s incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- Evidence of Registration with the Polytechnic for the year 2013, 2014 and 2015.
- Evidence of Registration as Supplier (Certificate of Incorporation with relevant Government Ministries)
- Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three years
- Evidence of Company’s Financial Standing and Banking Support
- Evidence of execution and completion of a similar job in the last three years
- Evidence of Certificate of Registration and Remittance with PENCOM- Pension Reform Act 2004.
- Evidence of Compliance with Section 6 (1.3) of industrial Training Fund Act 2011 as they relate to training contribution of liable organization.
- Payment of pre-qualification fee for the Procurement
- VAT Registration and Evidence of past VAT remittances
- Company’s audited account for three years
- All pre-qualification documents should be arranged as enumerated above.
5.0 General Information
All enquiries regarding the advertisement should be directed to the Polytechnic Librarian, Kwara State Polytechnic, llorin, between 10.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
6.0 Submission of Documents
All Submissions for each LOT should be in duplicate copies in a wax sealed envelope and identified with the project reference and lot number at the top left hand corner and marked “PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR TENDER” and delivered by hand or courier service to the address below not later than 17th February, 2015. All submissions in sealed envelope should be delivered to the address below not later than 18th March, 2015.

7.0 OPENING
All received Pre-qualification and tender documents shall be opened at the Conference Room, Central Administration Complex, Kwara State Polytechnic, llorin, Kwara state by 1.00pm prompt on March 18, 2015. All Bidders and interested members of the public are invited to witness the opening exercise
8.0 IMPORTANT NOTICE
All applicants are to note that:
- No Contractor is expected to bid for more than one lot.
- Only firms capable of executing the job would be published on the Notice Board and contacted.
- Nothing in this advert shall be construed to be a commitment by Kwara State Polytechnic.
- Failure to comply with any of the above instructions or provide any of the above listed documents may automatically result in disqualification.
- The Polytechnic shall not enter into any correspondence with unsuccessful bidders.
- The Polytechnic is not under obligation to award any of the jobs to the lowest bidder.
- The polytechnic reserves the right to verify the authenticity or otherwise of any documents submitted from any organization.
