Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors/Suppliers for the Execution of 2015 Capital Projects
1.0 Introduction
The Jos University Teaching Hospital hereby invites reputable and interested Contractors, Suppliers and Manufacturers with relevant experience and good track record of performance, to submit pre-qualification bids for the following jobs:
2.0 Profile of Projects
2.1 LOT A: Construction
2.1.1. Completion of Doctor’s Quarters
2.12. Construction
(i) Additional wards
(ii) Psychiatry complex
(iii) Stores Complex and
(iv) Schools
2.2 LOT B: Supplies
(i) Medical/Hospital Equipment
(ii) Office Furniture
(iii) Office Equipment (Computers, Projectors, Photocopiers etc)
(iv) Project Vehicles
(v) Laundry Equipment (Washing Machines, Dryers, Extractors, etc)
(vi) Linens
(vii) Voltage Regulation/stabilization and Surge Protection on Raw Power
3.0 Pre-Qualification Requirements
The following are the requirements that should be submitted by interested Contractors, Suppliers and Manufacturers on or before the closing date.
- Evidence of Company Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
- Audited Accounts for the last three (3) years (2012 – 2013 and 2014)
- Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years (2012, 2013 and 2014)
- Evidence of Tax Identification Number (TIN No.)
- Evidence of Financial Capability and Banking Support (Names and Addresses of Bank(s)
- Evidence of Similar and Verifiable Projects successfully executed within the last five (5) years (supported with completion Certificate/Certification of Making Good Defects)
- Evidence of VAT Registration and remittances
- Evidence of manufacturers(s) representation or distributorship
- Evidence of Equipment and Technology Capability
- Comprehensive Company Profile and Organizational structure
- Evidence of Technical Qualification and Experience of Key Personnel
- Evidence of Opening a Retirement Savings accounts (RSA) for staff or employees with Pension Fund Administrator supported with Compliance Certificates issued by the National Pension Commission in compliance with the Pension Act.
- Evidence of payment of ITF Training Contribution in compliance with the statutory provision of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Amended Act 2011
4.0 Important Information
(i) Only pre-qualified companies shall be invited to competitively tender for the projects.
(ii) Pre-qualified Companies will be required to pay a non-refundable fee to obtain the Financial Tender documents in respect of projects)
(iii) Original documents on any aspects of a Company’s submission may be requested for sighting
(iv) Jos University Teaching Hospital shall not be liable for any cost on the part of Companies that bided.
(v) The advert of “Invitation to Prequalification for 2015 Capital Projects” shall not be construed as commitment on the part of Jos University Teaching Hospital nor shall it entitle any Company to make claims or seek any indemnity from the Hospital by virtue of having responded to the advertisement.
(vi) Jos University Teaching Hospital reserves the right to reject/accept any/all bid documents without assigning any reason whatsoever
(vii) Late submission will not be accepted
(viii) Notwithstanding the submission of pre-qualification documents, Jos University Teaching Hospital is neither committed nor obliged to include any Company on any bid List
(ix) Jos University Teaching Hospital reserves the right to verify any claim by Companies. Companies shall therefore include necessary authorities and guarantee for such verification.
5.0 Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
The completed pre-qualification documents with full pagination should be in Ten (10) spiral bound copies (unbound submission will NOT be processed) and enclosed in an envelope, sealed and marked “PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR EXECUTION OF 2015 CAPITAL PROJECTS” for (INDICATE THE lot) e.g. LOT A CONSTRUCTION: COMPLETION OF DOCTORS’ QUARTERS) at the Top right corner of the envelope and addressed to:

NOTE: The complete pre-requalification document should be deposited in the Tender Box in the office of the Director of Administration, Jos University Teaching Hospital.
6.0 Closing Date/Bid Opening
The submission of Bids shall close by 12noon on Monday, 23rd February, 2015. The Bid documents shall be opened by 1:00pm same day (Monday, 23rd February, 2015) in the Boardroom of the Hospital at the Administration Department.
The representatives of Companies are invited to witness the Bid opening on Monday, 23rd February, 2015 in the Boardroom at 1:00pm.
