Prequalification of Contractors and Tender for the Execution of the Year 2013 TETFUND Special Intervention Projects
The Rivers State Polytechnic Bori intends to execute her 2013 Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Special Intervention Projects. The projects for this intervention are aimed at providing Science Laboratory equipment for our Chemistry, Physics and Biology Laboratories.
A. Description
The projects shall consist of the following:
1. Lot I – Supply of Science Laboratory Equipment including 10No Triple Balance, 5No Moisture analyzer, 3No Distillation Machine, 10No water bath, 18No Laboratory Incubator, 10No Laboratory Oven, 20No Gas Jar, 6N0 water deionizer, 10No heating mantle, 10No Aluminium autoclave and 575No other Equipment for Chemistry Laboratory inclusive of VAT.
- Lot II – Supply of Science Laboratory equipment including 8N0 digital laboratory hot plate magnetic stirrer, 4No AC/DC Power supply, 20No Laboratory Oven, 20No laboratory incubator, l0No TV and X1/X10 probes, 50No student’s microscope, 10No Rotary Evaporator and 395No other equipment for physic laboratory VAT inclusive.
- Lot III – Supply of Science laboratory equipment including 4No water bath, 5No colony Counter, 20No Human skeleton, 19No Human trunk, 10No digital laboratory hot plate magnetic stirrer, 50No student microscope, 20No research binocular microscope and 535No other equipment and models for biology laboratory inclusive of VAT.
B. Pre-Qualification Criteria
- Only Contractors with proven capability, relevant experience and good record of accomplishment would be considered to competitively tender for the project(s).
- Company profile and organizational structure including names and resumes of key personnel indicating their qualifications and experience.
- Verifiable list of previous/similar major works executed within the past 5 years and their locations.
- Evidence of incorporation and tax clearance for the last 3 years.
- Evidence of payment of Value Added Tax (VAT) and evidence of remittance.
- Evidence of registration with Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori.
- Evidence of financial strength, creditworthiness and solvency.
- Evidence of Company’s audited account for the last three years from a registered
- Evidence of registration with the Industrial Training Fund
C. Collection of Pre-Qualification/Tender Documents
Interested contractors are required to pay a non-refundable processing fee(s) (bank draft) of N50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira) each for any of the projects at the Bursary Department of the Polytechnic. The Bank Draft for the processing fee(s) should be made payable to Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori. Evidence of the payment will qualify the contractor(s) for collection of pre-qualification documents from:

E. General/Special Information
- This advertisement shall not be construed as a commitment on the part of the polytechnic, nor shall it entitle prospective contractors to make any claim whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from the polytechnic.
- Failure to comply with any instruction above or to provide any of the listed documents will automatically result in disqualification.
- Entries received at the expiration of the deadline will not be processed.
